Cartier Vs Rolex Watch Reviews

cartier men's w710056 dive watch

Ah, what a review we have today! Two brands that are highly regarded, and are some of the most well known in the watch and jewelry industry today. I am talking about the powerhouse watch brand Rolex and the jewelry turned to watch company, Cartier. Although Cartier is becoming more and more known for their high priced, luxury quartz watches; they still do not compare to Rolex.

The Rolex brand is one that will always be one of the tops in the watch community. Due to all of the history and great pride that Rolex puts into their watchmaking, it is the ultimate winner for today’s review.

Rolex is not the most expensive watchmaker to exist, and it is not the best. But the name in itself is popular amongst watch fanatics, rappers and really, anybody. The same can not be said for Cartier. Besides just popularity wise, Rolex is also A LOT more complex than Cartier. Rolex watchmakers produce masterpieces that are extremely accurate and beautiful. Cartier focuses on the luxury side of watchmaking and pretty much stops there…

Today, I will review the top watches by each brand, highlighting the best features and aesthetics of the particular watches. From there, I will show why Rolex is a better choice for ANY type of watch! (P.S: I am an extreme Rolex fan, not being biased or anything 😏) . So instead of saving the best for last, lets dive right into why Rolex is your golden ticket to watch paradise!

Rolex Submariner

Easily one of the most classic watches by Rolex. The beautiful, durable and simply designed Rolex Submariner.

The Rolex Submariner was one of the first dive watches to ever hit the market. Whether you decide to purchase a vintage or a newer model (pictured above), you are sure to be happy with your timepiece.

The Submariner features a beautiful black dial with a perfect sized 40 mm case diameter. A ceramic, uni-directional bezel insert gives a great touch to match the black dial and compliment the polished stainless steel Oyster bracelet. To ensure you are never missing out on time, Rolex created a reliable 3135 caliber self-winding movement for the Submariner. If you do opt for the Submariner, remember, there is no classic Rolex cyclops to display the date. And if you go for the model 114060, there is no date in the dial.

Features that make this watch so durable include a water resistance up to 300 Meters, a strong screw down crown to prevent water from entering the watch and a deployment buckle clasp on the bracelet, which keeps the watch secure on the wrist.

A Classic Dive Watch

If simply designed, but somehow very handsome dive watches are your thing. Then I can not recommend a better watch for you. The Submariner is reliable, VERY durable and goes well with any attire that you decide to wear (casual or fancy). If there was any other dive watch that I would recommend, it would be the Rolex Sea Dweller!  But for sake of my review, go with the Submariner! 😉

Rolex Milgauss

The Milgauss is a favorite amongst Rolex fans. Most of the design is classic and similar to a Rolex Datejust, with an exception within the dial…

The Milgauss looks like your average Datejust at first glance. Even the specs are pretty similar; the Scratch resistant sapphire crystal, handcrafted screw down crown, 40 mm stainless steel case and a black dial.

Two features that differentiate the Milgauss from other Rolex watches. The second hand is a bright orange lightning bolt. The watch was originally made for scientists in mind. So a signature lightning bolt was a must-have addition to this timepiece! Another innovative addition to the Milgauss is the anti-magnetic abilities within. The movement is not affected by magnetic pull due to advanced roadblocks put in to keep this from happening. The reason for this is because many scientists work around magnetic fields. So keeping accurate time while creating new inventions was something that was very important!

Innovation

The technology that is used on the Milgauss is not a common piece in watches. This is a factor that makes it so unique and so it holds its value over time. So even if you are not an awesome scientist, this watch is definitely a conversation starter. (“Hey is your watch protected against magnetic fields? No, well mine is)!

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona

The Daytona is the highest priced out of the Rolex watches that I have reviewed today. But for a very good reason, and it is ABSOLUTELY worth the price. (I wish I had one).

Within this masterpiece is an amazing 4130 Rolex caliber automatic movement. It is run with 44 Jewel movement and a VPH (vibrations per hour) of 28,800. A 72-hour power reserve that keeps the watch running longer. Other physical specs include a 40 mm stainless steel case, stainless steel adjustable bracelet, a beautiful black, ceramic dial and luminescent hands & hour markers.

Incredible Accuracy

The polishing of the DAYTONA is literally out of this world. But what truly makes it amazing is the precise accuracy of the movement that runs the Daytona. The Parachrom hairspring has exceptional qualities that make the watch extremely accurate. It is said to be ten times more accurate than a traditional hairspring.

Cartier Ballon Bleu Stainless Steel Watch

Now it’s time to go over top watches by Cartier. The Ballon Bleu is a great watch to start with; due to the classic design and perfectly polished look.

The stainless steel case measures 41.5 mm, so a great size for any wrist. It is slightly larger than most Rolex classic pieces, (40mm), but it’s still a great look. Inside the white dial holds the Roman Numerals that give the timepiece a vintage look. A nice automatic piece keeps this watch ticking strong. Long time owners are content with the movement on the Cartier Ballon Bleu. The movement is not as regarded as any Rolex movement, but it definitely gets the job done.

A Classic Look

If you are into watches that are nice and simple, this may be a great fit. The stainless steel and white dial go great with the large, bold Roman Numerals. This is a watch that can go with any outfit from casual to the most formal business attire.

Cartier Men’s W7100056 Dive Watch

Now for a dive watch by Cartier.

42mm large case, up to 998 feet of water resistance and a clean, dark black dial are some differentiating features on the Cartier Dive Watch. The watch also comes stock with a black rubber band. That being said, this is one of the more durable watches by Cartier and is a great choice if durability is important to you.

Many other features resemble the Ballon Bleu. Which is why this watch is known and regarded for its diving abilities.

A Durable Dive Watch

Although I would personally refer any Rolex Dive Watch over the Cartier Dive, this is still a good watch (Rolex is just amazing).  But there is no doubt that this watch is strong. You can be sure that it will last through any wear and tear, heck even a few drops in the toilet will be fine.

Cartier Tank Solo “Quartz”

The Tank Solo by Cartier is probably one of the most popular watches by the brand.

Cartier is known for their square-shaped timepieces. I personally am not a huge fan of how the squared watches look on wrists, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Many people DO LOVE these styles of watches (hence why they are one of the most popular watches by Cartier). The stainless steel case is 27.4 mm with a synthetic sapphire crystal. The Tank Solo is run on a quartz movement but is known to be pretty accurate. For the most part, the watch is a simple look. A white dial with large, black Roman numerals and a stainless steel case and band.

For Those Who Like Things Different

Most men’s watches come in the generic round case shape. So having the squared design is a unique touch to stand out from other watches. This is a great dress watch that can be worn with business casual or very formal attire. It is sure to get people talking and asking you about where you got your watch. Remeber, people are drawn to things that stand out. And the Tank Solo by Cartier does just that.

Final Verdict

Hopefully, I made it clear today that both watchmakers are great brands who create reliable, and luxurious timepieces. When it comes down to what brand is MORE reliable, MORE durable and MORE luxurious; the ultimate winner is Rolex. Rolex is one of those household names that will always be known and regarded as one of the BEST watchmakers in the world! Cartier is more known for their fine jewelry rather than their timepieces.

If you opt for a Rolex, know that your watch will hold its value (if kept in good condition) and maintain its reliablilty throughout the duration of its watch life. The same can’t be said for Cartier. Why it may run for a long time, they are not built to last as long as a Rolex, and will not hold value like a Rolex. So if you need any more clarification than what I have said throughout this review, here you go for the last time. Rolex watches are a BETTER choice for prospective watch owners. They are around the same price and built with better materials.

At the end of the day, the choice is up to you. If you are truly in LOVE with the Tank Solo, go ahead and purchase it! Just make sure when you purchase a you buy it from a reliable source, like Amazon!

Happy shopping my watch friends!

Suunto vs G-Shock: Which Watch Should You Purchase?

Suunto vs G-Shock

G-Shock watches have disrupted the military watch market for years. The large, durable and unique designs are popular among watch fanatics who have a main interest in “tactical” or military watches. (Tactical watches are built for durability and are sometimes used in the American Military). Today I’m having Suunto vs. G-Shock face off.

Overview

Suunto is another military watch brand that is gaining popularity.  The company began in Finland over 80 years ago and specialized in making liquid filled compasses. Today, the brand is a top leader in military watches, competing closely with the powerhouse Casio!

So which brand is better? Hmmmm, I guess that is my job today. Well, instead of keeping my audience on the edge of their seats for today’s review, let me just flat out say that CASIO REIGNS SUPREME.  Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of great watches by Suunto. The reason I say Casio is the go-to is that of three main factors. Price, durability, and design.

Many Suunto watches are much more pricey than any G-Shock. The durability of G-Shocks cannot be compared to Suunto. G-Shocks are built for durability, whereas Suuntos are built more for technology. Lastly, the designs of G-Shocks are complex and interesting. So much so that G-Shocks are worn with almost any attire; even formal at times! Suunto’s on the other hand, are pretty plain and look like your average smartwatches.

Below, I will review top watches by each watchmaker and conclude why G-Shock is the better choice. At the end of the day, the decision is ultimately yours; I’m just here to make your decision easier! 😉

Casio G-Shock GA100-1A1

The model GA100-1A1 is definitely a top watch by Casio. Not only is it very durable, nice looking and comfortable; but reasonably priced!  No matter where you are in the world, this watch has got your back!  The world time has up to 29 time zones and has the ability to set on/off daylight savings. Durability is also a strong suit. This watch can handle up to 200 METERS of water depth! And yes, it is VERY shock resistant. I honestly believe this watch can make it through a Hulk transformation…

Other highlights include full loaded auto-calendar, programmed until 2099 (hopefully you make it until then),  a large 37mm case, auto LED light within the dial and a 1/1000th Second Stopwatch with Speed Indicator.

All in The Price

It is easy to see why this is a highly regarded watch by Casio. But the true deal breaker is the price. All of the aesthetics of this watch can definitely be priced at a higher point. When accounting for the design, unique features and durability, this watch is probably the best choice. So keep this watch in mind if you are looking for great, yet affordable!

Casio G-Shock GW-9400BJ-1JF G-Shock Master of G Rangeman

This watch really is something. The Rangeman is a favorite among Casio fanatics. And you will soon find out why!

Now, in my opinion, G-Shocks are not the nicest of watches. They are still trending as an everyday watch and no doubt, they can be worn with most casual attire. But what makes this watch so great is because of what’s inside this masterpiece.

This G-Shock is running off of a Japanese automatic movement.  It is not every day that you see a G-Shock with an automatic movement; which is why this watch is so impressive. Besides the movement, this watch also features a triple sensor “engine” with an altimeter/barometer, thermometer, and a compass. I guess you can say this is the ultimate military watch!

Other specs also include a carbon fiber band, a LARGE 54 mm case and a water resistance up to 200 M. You simply can not go wrong with the Master of G Rangeman.

An “All Around” Watch

The Rangeman is sure to keep any buyer satisfied. The durability is ridiculously great. Not many watches are SOLAR PROOF and shock resistant. Yeah, no sun is burning up this bad boy. Swimming is never an issue, this watch is sure to hold its own no matter how strong the current!

With an all-black design, the watch can be worn with almost anything; making it a perfect “go to” watch for any occasion. Lastly, and most importantly, the Rangeman is an AUTOMATIC TIMEPIECE! A whole lot of G-Shocks are made with quartz movements, but if you opt for the Rangeman, your getting an automatic movement my friends! To me, this is an extremely important feature when deciding on a watch to purchase. The complexity and effort put into designing and creating an automatic movement cannot be compared to a battery powered quartz.

G-Shock Extra Large Display

Everythings better when it’s bigger….. Right? The military series G-Shock offers owners a 55mm case! So readability should never be an issue with this timepiece. The watch also has the ability to change the time between 29 time zones. The watch also has a full auto calendar pre-programmed until 2099. You don’t have to worry about time with the military series, because the watch has four daily alarms and even has a snooze button (lay off the snooze)! Accuracy is also a great feature of this piece. Expect +/- fifteen seconds per month; which is actually VERY good for an affordable Casio watch.

Size Matters

Ultimately what sets this watch apart from the rest is a large size. If you have a big wrist, or like big faced watches, then this watch is for you! With large size comes easy readability, heavyweight materials, and extreme durability. So, if you do in fact like large watches, the military series is a MUST.

If the large size keeps you from choosing this watch, I recommend that you look further into it. Although it is large, the design of the watch makes it so it does not look too large on the wrist.

Suunto Core Ultimate Black

The Suunto Core is considered a military watch, but at first glance, may be confused with a smartwatch or Fitbit. But the Suunto Core is nothing like either watch. It is definitely a unique timepiece itself. Core features (no pun intended) include an altimeter, barometer, and a compass. The Core also has a built-in thermometer, storm alarm and tracks the sunrise and sunset. A must-have watch for a first date!

Innovation

What makes this watch worthy to be reviewed by myself, has to be all of the innovative features that were added to this piece. This is a MUST HAVE watch for any outdoor adventure and the all-black design make it easy to pair with any outfit you choose. It can be a bit hard to rid at times in dim lighting and is not as durable as a G-Shock; but then again, it is not as bulky and large as a G-Shock.

Suunto Traverse Alpha

I’d say the Traverse is much more on par with the durability standards of a G-Shock. The Suunto Traverse has a bold stainless steel bezel with a water repellant nylon strap. For extra durability, the watch also features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal; which is usually found on top-notch watches! In short, the Traverse is a hunter and fishers gold mine. The watch has a built-in GPS, automatic shot detection, and a location-based moon phase calendar.

A Watch Made For a Hunter

Although I concluded that the G-Shock is the ultimate winner; there is an exception if you are a hunter. You can not beat all of the features added to this watch, it is literally made for a hunter. Hunting and fishing have never been easier and more fun than with the Suunto Traverse. No more worrying about getting lost in the middle of the woods.

Suunto 9 Watch

Fitness will never be the same…. (What’s a Fitbit)?

The Suunto 9 is more expensive compared to all of the other watches reviewed today. However, it is justified. This is a smartwatch that is more focused on fitness than other smartwatches on the market.  One of the coolest features is the sports expertise tracker. This little watch gives support for over 80 sports. The Suunto 9 also has an adjustable battery mode, which you can curate to make your battery life last as long as you need to. You have access to the Suunto app, so you can track all of your activity and log it for the future.

Smart-Sports Watch

The Suunto 9 is a great choice if sports are an important part of your life. It is also a watch that will always be reliable. You have up to 120 hours of battery life, Bluetooth connection, GPS built in, storm tracker. Basically, everything the last two Suunto watches have, but fused into a smartwatch. It is not as durable as the Traverse, but it does offer up to 100 meters of water resistance. Other than that, should be handled with a little more care.

Final Verdict

Casio and Suunto are two brands that are not usually compared with one another. Both are considered Military watches, due to military testing. Although I have no idea what they mean by that.

Anyway, when it comes down to it, G-Shock is a much more affordable, durable and traditional watch. Which is why I chose the brand as the ultimate winner. Suunto is more of a technologically advanced timepiece, rather than a watch. If the price is a deciding factor, G-Shock is your best option. If durability is a very important factor than once again, G-Shock is for you. But if innovation and technology is something that you are looking for in a watch, go for Suunto.

All of the watches reviewed above are highly regarded watches by each brand. If you do decide to purchase, make sure you buy from a reliable marketplace like Amazon!

Shinola Runwell Watch Review: A High-Quality Watch With American Pedigree

The name Shinola can probably get a giggle out of you but let’s move on…

The brand name Shinola may not have the iconic reputation of Rolex and Omega but over the years, this Detroit-based watch manufacturer has been making a splash in the industry. The company has earned its reputation by hand-making watches in the U.S., right down to the quartz movement.

Today, we’re going to take an in-depth look one of the more popular timepieces in Shinola’s lineup, the Shinola Runwell.

Packaging

When it comes to my watches, the presentation is everything.

The Runwell shipped in a wooden box that’s wrapped in a black cardboard. This packaging looks a little bit old school for but I guess that comes with the Shinola brand. With that said, the box is very well-done and definitely feels high-quality.

Upon opening the box, I was greeted with the watch and a small tin of leather balm. The tin contains tallow, mink oil, and paraffin wax. I’m sure this is a clever throwback to the origin of the Shinola brand. The rest of the box includes: a storage case, story pamphlet, manual/warranty booklet, and a small plaque.

The pamphlet gives an overview of the watchmaking process and even includes snapshots of the Detroit factory. The leather storage case is also a nice touch as it showcases the company’s attention to detail.

Design and Construction

As mentioned, we will be reviewing the Shinola Runwell 47mm version. In case you don’t know, the Runwell line of watches is available in 41mm and 47mm models.

There’s no denying that this is a substantially sized timepiece. However, the Runwell features a reasonable thickness and a healthy bit of heft that it somehow sits perfectly on my wrist. Those with smaller hands or think that it’s too big can always go for the Shinola Runwell 41mm.

The Runwell is available in a variety of cases and dial configurations, with a range of straps from caramel leather straps to stainless-steel link bracelets. Today, I have the Runwell Chrono with a stainless-steel case, Arabic numerals, black dial, and caramel leather strap.

Watch Face

Across the Runwell lineup, Shinola has been quite successful in creating a design with a bold and modern aesthetic. The Runwell, in particular, features a straightforward, polished stainless steel casing and curved lugs that subtly but meticulously recede into the rear section of the case. The case itself is quite simple but it serves as a nice backdrop to the Runwell’s high-contrast dial.

Shinola’s trademark orange accents on the center seconds, sub-seconds, and narrow lightning bolt symbol just draw the eye and really rounds up the overall look of the watch face. It’s worth noting that all of the orange accents are Superluminova coated as well.

Just below the lightning bolt symbol sits the plain white “Shinola” text and just above the 6 o’clock sits the “Argonite-1069” movement designation and the proud “Detroit” reminder. Below, you’ll see the date aperture which is kind of a miss since it looked abrupt and doesn’t blend well with the rest of the elements.

There’s a sub-seconds dial placed in between the 2 and 3 o’clock, and a 30-minute register between the 9 and 10 o’clock. Both the dials feature a concentric circular engraving which adds another layer of detail to the piece.

All of the Arabic numerals are slightly raised and given a light gleam. This gives the face a much-needed depth although the numerals are not lumed. The hour and minute hands are tapered, giving the hands a stylish, curvaceous profile.

The bezel is rather simple but looks especially sharp with the brushed stainless steel. The crown also features a tiny lightning bolt and screws into the body of the watch to prevent any accidental adjustments. The simplicity of the bezel directs your eye to the more exciting design elements of the dial.

All of these elements might seem like too busy for some but I think Shinola did a great job of creating a spacious display and a layout that efficiently makes use of the 47mm dimensions.

Case Back

The case back is rather impressive with its stamped metal plate design which can only be a homage to the automotive industry. There are also four screws that seem to secure the backing’s circular design. I’ve been told that the screws are attached right to the face for an enhanced structural rigidity.

Inside the circle, you’ll see the raised to the touch “Shinola” logo, the lightning bolt insignia, the laser engraved serial number, and finally the “Built in Detroit.” Some folks may find the engraved serial number to be unnecessary flourish but personally, it gives off the feeling that you’re getting something in small production numbers.

Strap

The watch strap is a pleasant surprise.

It’s appropriately padded and made from American Horween leather by Hadley-Roma in Largo, Florida. The strap has enough thickness that balances out the heft of the solid-steel timepiece. It’s worth mentioning that the leather strap is hand-stitched in Florida so it’s not just good-looking but durable as well. Best of all, the strap is very comfortable even after long periods of use.

Like the face of the watch, the clasp bears the orange lightning bolt design. Most people won’t notice this particular detail but it only shows just how much attention to detail was poured into this piece.

Timekeeping

As evidenced with the various reference in the watch, the Runwell is powered by the Argonite-5021 movement.

Argonite 5021 Movement

It is a quartz movement and is painstakingly made up of Swiss-made parts which are supplied by Ronda AG in Switzerland. In case you forget, the movement is hand-assembled in Detroit by 13 or so highly-trained staff members. Wearing the watch just gives a good feeling that it’s handcrafted by a small group of people.

While Shinola refers to the movement as the “Argonite-5021”, I just like to call it for what it is, a high-quality Ronda 5021.D. This is one of the main reasons why the Runwell is offered at such an approachable price point.

While I am a self-confessed fan of the sweep seconds of an automatic, I actually quite like the quartz for this Chrono where the center seconds hand is almost always on rest mode. The subtle ticks of the seconds subdial really doesn’t bother me that much.

For a quartz, this Runwell movement is definitely nice and works perfectly. It has a battery life of 4 years and features a battery life indicator/power saving function.

Pricing

The Shinola Runwell Chronograph is available at brand’s boutiques in New York and Detroit, or you could get the watch via the Shinola online store and is on the lower end of prices for a luxury line. The 47mm model, and the 41mm versions are pretty different in price.

And here lies my biggest quibble with the Shinola Runwell.

For a quartz movement timepiece, it’s a little bit insane to be paying this amount. The Argonite movement is more or less a variation of the Ronda movement. Well, I dare say that it’s basically a re-branded Ronda movement but I digress.

However, one could argue that it’s a well-made movement that is lovingly handcrafted by highly-skilled watch artisans. True enough, the Runwell is equipped with an extremely high-quality quartz.

Of course, there’s also the fact that the watch is extremely well-made with great details all around. The watch face is simply a thing of beauty. So for me personally, all these elements warrant a premium price.

Short Introduction to Shinola

Shinola is an American manufacturer that is based in Detroit. The company makes specialty items like journals, wallets, bags, bicycles, and of course, watches. The company’s motto is “where America is made” and prides itself on creating and keeping jobs local while putting out quality products that will last.

The Detroit-based manufacturer’s claim to fame is through their lineup of watches. It’s worth noting that the startup’s founding team is composed of people who previously worked for Swiss movement maker Ronda. The company was built by flying state of the art watchmaking tools and equipment from Europe. The company employs a Detroit-based workforce and train them in the art of watchmaking.

Should You Buy the Shinola Runwell Chronograph?

Overall, the Shinola Runwell is a successful timepiece that oozes with quality and attention to detail. It looks bold and modern at the same time. However, just don’t expect any innovation in design with this watch.

It’s a luxurious timepiece and should work great as a dress watch. It features a quartz movement so it’s easy to think that it’s a little bit overpriced. However, it’s nowhere a Rolex Explorer or Submariner. With that said, the Shinola Runwell is greater than the sum of its parts.

Plus, you get the satisfaction that you are supporting a proudly American brand with the vision to revitalize Detroit. So it’s safe to say that you’ll be paying for the Homegrown factor.

Review of the Jiusko Watch Brand

Top watch by Jiusko

When you think of quality watchmakers, what regions come to mind? My first guess would be Swiss. And it is true that the Swiss create some excellent watches. What about China? This leads us to today’s brand review of Jiusko watches. These Chinese made watches vary in design and style. Overall, most of the watches by Jiusko are very affordable!

Today, I will be reviewing the highest regarded watches by Jiusko and recommend what I think are some of the best-valued watches by the brand. Before diving into this review, I must let everyone know my favorite. The Jiusko Tourbillion.

Jiusko makes a great looking, extremely affordable and comfortable tourbillion and truly exemplifies what it means to be a GREAT Chinese tourbillion watchmaker. Let me get this out of the way quick. In no way are Jiusko watches top contenders in the watch world. There is no doubt that some are handsome, stylish and affordable. The handmade element of watchmaking, however, is lacking for the brand. My reviews of each model today will be based on how the watches compare to other Chinese made watches and how the design of some Jiusko watches are very unique. Let’s jump right in!

Jiusko Automatic Dress Watch

Here we have a very attractive timepiece by Jiusko.   A dress watch has one purpose. Well, two actually. One is to look great on the wrist for any formal event. And two is to tell the time (obviously). The Jiusko dress looks FANTASTIC and runs off of a reliable 21 jewel, automatic movement. The watch has a nice sized, 40mm stainless steel case, with a white dial within. A sturdy and durable sapphire crystal protects the dial within. A rose gold bezel as well as rose gold tick marks perfectly compliment the white dial and the dark brown leather strap. Add the favorable skeleton view on the dial, up to 100m of water resistance and the 24-hour subdial on the face, and you got yourself a great pick up.

Watch for ANY Special Occasion

Jiusko created a beautiful watch with this one. The bright rose gold, and stainless steel coloring definitely can go well with any dress attire.  Wear this watch anytime you want to look good and feel good about what you have on your wrist.

Jiusko “His and Her” Watches

How can I exclude this fabulous combination? I know we don’t all have a special someone, but for those of us who do, this is a great buy! The male watch is fitted with a 38mm case, while the ladies timepiece has a 25mm case. Both are extremely thin and comfortable to wear on the wrist. I love the simple design of this model,  making it easy to wear with ANYTHING you can think of! The classic white dial, stainless steel case and gold “two-toned” contrast go together so well. Think of these as your new everyday couples watches (while single people gag with disgust). But don’t mind those single people, they probably don’t even own a nice watch!

A Perfect Gift

This combination makes for an amazing gift for any couple, newlyweds or as an anniversary present. The simplicity, yet luxurious look of these watches make them a top choice when it comes to matching “couples” watches. So instead of buying a cringeworthy gift (matching t-shirts), opt for the Jiusko watches. Especially for the affordable price. Make sure to flaunt your new his and her watches at all social gatherings! It will be a great conversation starter.

Jiusko Tachymeter Chronograph

Sports watch lovers everywhere should peep this watch. At almost half the price of popular sports watches, you have a great looking and very durable piece right here. A 43mm case is matched with a Tachymeter, unidirectional bezel and a bold, black dial, with small, etched designs within. The chronograph features a Japanese quartz movement. For a quartz movement, it is actually quite reliable. Jiusko claims to have up to three years of battery life with this movement. So reliability is definitely not an issue!

Extreme Durability

Look to purchase this watch if durability is a top priority. The already durable stainless steel case is teamed up with a hard shell storage case, to make the watch insanely strong. Not only is this watch attractive and functional, but it can withstand anything that comes its way.

Jiusko Skeleton Watch

The Chinese sure love their skeleton watches. Skeleton watches are a great addition to any collection. They look so interesting and give you a look at the complex movement that is running your watch. The Jiusko skeleton is a great choice if you are on the market for a skeleton watch. At first glance, you are intrigued by the beautiful polished silver bracelet. The case is 43mm and features a rounded silver bezel. Highlights include the 36-hour power reserve, 20 jewels automatic movement and the breathtaking, layered bezel.

Unique Design

Although all skeleton watches give you a peek inside of the watch, something about Jiuskos’ is different. The Jiusko has some quality parts and is able to maintain a dressy look, despite seeing the “soul” of the watch. I also love the comfortable butterfly clasp, to ensure a great fit on any wrist. Overall, the Jiusko skeleton has a futuristic, complex design but somehow pulls off a formal look. I suggest pairing this watch with your favorite business attire or that nice fitted suit you pull out on special occasions.

Jiusko Dive Watch

Dive watches are always a great addition to a review. One thing I must say is I am not in love with the design of this dive watch. To be quite frank it almost looks like a toy. But on the bright side, it has some good specs and a decent price for a dive watch. One thing that must be mentioned is the impressive movement on this watch. A Japenese, 24-jewel, automatic movement (Seiko NH36 to be exact), a 40-hour power reserve and an analog display. Another great highlight is the durability of this watch. The watch is built with a titanium case, that is designed to be strong. The silicone band is obviously durable; scratches and dents are not a worry. Although the silicone band adds to the durability, it is not the best-looking addition.

Dive Watch Designed Differently

A few features on this dive watch that are worthy mentions have to be the date sub-dial window. The date sub-dial displays each day of the week on the bottom left of the dial. This is an addition that is not usually on dive watches; so it is definitely an interesting feature of the Jiusko Dive watch.

Jiusko Tourbillion Timepiece

This is hands down my favorite watch by Jiusko. No, it is NOWHERE as cheap as the other watches listed above. But, it is a tourbillion watch. Tourbillions usually cost upwards of 50K!  So in comparison to OTHER tourbillion watches; you can say that the Jiusko is an AMAZING value!

The Tourbillion by Jiusko is a true gem. It is a beautiful timepiece that is crafted with excellent materials. Let it be known, the Jiusko is not HANDCRAFTED and the watchmakers do not pay as much attention to detail as other tourbillions. Not to say the watch is full of flaws. But under a magnifying glass, you can see some minor defects, that would never make it out of the Rolex factory! Moral of this story; do not wear your watch around friends who enjoy using magnifying glasses…

Now for some of the best parts of the watch. So for those who do not know, tourbillion is Chinese,  I mean French for “whirlwind.” The whole point of a tourbillion watch is to utilize a movement that is constantly moving, to be able to prevent gravity from interfering with accuracy. Meaning it is an INSANELY difficult movement to create. The Jiusko is no exception, it has a top-notch movement inside.

Surprisingly Great Value

The Jiusko Tourbillion is such a great value because of all the great materials used on this timepiece.  A genuine Alligator strap enhances the look of your wrist. Paired with an 18k rose gold bezel, large screw-in crown, and hands within the dial. The rose gold goes perfectly with the white dial and the small, black Roman numeral hour markers. The watch has such a classic look and looks absolutely great on the wrist.  An anti-reflective sapphire crystal keeps the dial looking clear and prevents you from blinding yourself, or others, when staring at this beauty. All together Jiusko did a great job adding some quality accessories on this watch.

You CAN NOT find a better Tourbillion watch for the price. Cheaper pieces lack the high-grade materials that were used for the Jiusko. If you do end up purchasing, please take good care of your beauty and never feel ashamed that you are not wearing a 6 figure watch. Not all of us can blow two-year salary on a single watch..

Jiusko Brand Overall

Although the brand has been around since 1990, there is not a lot of buzz regarding Jiusko watches. Mainly because many watch buyers prefer Japanese made watches over Chinese watches. Do not sleep on Jiusko though. It is hard to find watches with nice designs and durable materials for the price point of Jiusko watches.

So is it a yay or nay on the Jiusko brand. I say if you do not have loads of green paper stuffed under your mattress, then yay to Jiusko.

If, on the other hand, you have “money to blow” like my good friend Elon Musk. Go ahead and purchase a watch that cost the same as a Tesla! 😆

Happy watch shopping everyone!

Best Watches For Physical Therapists

Best-watch-for-physical-therapists

To all my happy, awesome, rehabilitating experts out there! I have a review for you today! I’m talking about Physical Therapists. I am going to review top watches for the profession to help make your job EASIER!

Now, I do not explicitly know all of the reasons why a physical therapist uses a wristwatch, however, I do know they are important. Therefore, finding a great, easy to read watch is a high priority. Before jumping into things. Let’s talk about THE BEST watch for Physical Therapists and other medical professionals. When it comes to the best of the best it can be relative based on certain preferences. But when it comes to readability, interesting features, value, and design, the Eterna Mens “Pulseometer” watch is definitely the best choice for all of the wonderful physical therapists out there.

Whimsical Watches Physical Therapy

Not only is this watch extremely hilarious. It also functions quite well.

Come on, can you really be considered a true physical therapist if you don’t own a watch like this. Talk about being dedicated to your job. This watch is sure to keep even the most gloomy of therapists happy. And the best part is, you can be reminded of work all day!

The watch has a pretty plain design, that is if your not counting the unique features within the dial.  The case is a great size, 35mm, with a basic white dial. Basic before noticing the very noticeable clipboard and awesome quote that reads, “If It’s Physical, It’s Therapy!”

A mid-sized subdial is located on the right of the dial, displaying the time. The timepiece is run by a Japanese quartz, that is known to run quite well. The slow quiet ticks are great for physical therapists when performing day to day routines.

A Special Gift

What physical therapist would not love this watch as a gift? This is a watch that displays their profession to them every second of the day.  It may not be the most stylish watch on the market, but it is a watch that relates to a very important career.

Owners are happy with this watch and have no problems with functionality. Honestly though, the best part about the watch is the unique design!

Speidel Scrub Watch

The Speidel Scrub watch is a simple designed watch, that is a great choice for physical therapists.

First off, this watch is VERY READABLE. A large 38mm case makes it so the bright white dial with the red ticking second hand is easy to read and pops right out of the face. What is also great is the durability of the Spedial Scrub Watch. It can withstand water depths up to 30M and has an easy to clean, 100% silicone band. So whether you are assisting a patient in the water or anywhere else, this watch is sure to stay strong.

The functionality is great on the Scrub watch as well. An analog quartz keeps the watch ticking strong, with medical professionals in mind. Taking a pulse cannot be easier. Every strong tick of the watch hits dead on the second markers, so pulse readings are a breeze.

Wear With Anything

It just gets better and better. The Spedial Scrub Watch comes in MANY colors. So you can be sure to watch every outfit or fit perfectly with your favorite scrubs.  Some of the most popular colors are black, white, pink, blue and teal.

Spedial backs all of their scrub watches with a two-year warranty. So no worrying about the watch breaking on you; a new one will be on the way!

Think Medical Unisex Watch

The Think Medical watch is another great choice for physical therapists who want to take advantage of a watch. I mean, the name is “Think Medical.” I don’t think it can be any clearer than that! Not only is this watch EXTREMELY durable but very effective at doing its job. Oh, and VERY affordable.

The 31mm Silver case extends out on the right side, holding the red, screw in crown. As for the band, it is made out of a braided silicone material, that comes in multiple colors.

Interesting features on the watch include designated pulse quadrants on the dial, a very long second hand, with an arrow added at the end. And glowing hands that can be read in any setting.

Affordability

For all of the unique features packed into this watch, it is marked at a VERY cheap price point. Think Medical made watches for medical professionals, more affordable and colorful for all of the different personalities out there. I definitely recommend this watch to those who want a durable watch that can be easily read and worn with anything!

Prestige Medical Nurse Cyber Gel Watch

Slee, modern and lightweight. The Prestige Medical watch is definitely a top choice for physical therapists.

Choose between a black and white, purple or pink design that is sure to keep you happy. This watch has a beautiful LCD display, that just looks great. The watch is water resistant and has a gel band that defines what durability is.

The Prestige medical watch is for the physical therapist who wants a functional watch, that is also comfortable and is very contemporary. Owners of the Prestige Medical watch rave about the beauty of the piece. The water resistance is another feat that owners can’t get enough of. Some people even claimed to have washed it in the washing machine, and alas, it is still functioning.

Modern Design Meets Comfort

How easily this watch slides on the wrist and how comfortable it feels is one of the main highlights of this watch. The gel band gives a light and cool feel when on. It is also very lightweight, so you can almost forget that you’re wearing a watch.

The other prominent feature of the Prestige Medical watch is simply in the design. The watch has a futuristic look while maintaining the classic watch dial and case look. Be sure to let patients know, this watch is not from the future and it is NOT for sale!

Casio Womens MQ24-7B3LL

A classic watch is always a good addition to any review!

If you looked at a definition of “A classic looking watch” the Casio Women’s watch would be the cover photo. The name even has “classic” in it. There is nothing extravagant at all about this timepiece, it is a very simple design.

But sometimes simple is best, especially for physical therapy. Nothing on the watch distracts the wearer or the patient. The watch comes in a 34mm, black plastic case, and a black resin band. A bright white dial with a silver-tone sunray inner dial makes this piece easy to read.

A True Classic Design

What makes a watch classic? Well, I would say a watch that came before all modern watches and exemplifies the look of the original WATCH. Where the Casio may not be one of the first watches ever, it does mimic the design of a simple, older watch. It is not a bad thing at all for physical therapy. Here you have a plain design that is durable, easy to read and functions with a well built Japanese Quartz movement.

Eterna Pulsometer

The Eterna Pulseometer may not be as affordable as any of the other watches reviewed today. But come on, it has some amazing functionalities and an awesome movement.

At the price point, it may not be the first choice for physical therapists. Which is why it last on the list, despite labeling the Eterna as the best. What makes it so great is the high-grade materials, durability, and functionalities within this unique timepiece.

Where can I start with this watch? Well, let’s begin with the beautiful and high-class design.  The watch features an extremely comfortable and luxurious alligator band. The band goes great with the stainless steel case and white dial with two chronograph subdials. It may sound like I am contradicting myself since the last watch I highlighted the easy readability and simple design that keeps the watch looking plain and not distracting. But sometimes watch owners want a beautiful and powerful watch, even if it may inhibit a certain aspect (like readability).

Other highly praised features of the Eterna Pulsometer include the luminous hands (for easy use in the dark), 50M water resistance and the self-winding, accurate, mechanical movement.

All of these features come together to make an awesome timepiece that is WELL worth the price tag.

A True Beauty

All of the watches, other than the Eterna, are sub-par in the realm of nice watches. This is not to say they are not great for physical therapists, because they are, but they do not function nearly as well as the Eterna Pulsometor.

Everything from the shiny case, to the sapphire crystal and even the font within the dial, make this watch look pristine and beautiful. A top pick for physical therapists who don’t mind spending a bit more for a watch.

Final Verdict

By now we know how important a little watch can be for physical therapists, or for any medical professional for that matter. So choosing watches that function properly, are durable and have easy readability are very crucial features for a watch to have. All of these watches today are a blend of these top features, that keep in mind price and quality of each timepiece.

Hopefully, you all can find one of these watches to be a perfect fit. If so, I am glad that I could help you out today in finding a watch to help you succeed at your job. Maybe I’ll swing by after to your office to get my fingers checked out. For some reason they are always cramping…..

Apple Watch vs Fossil Smartwatch: Which Brand is Smarter?

Apple Watch vs. Fossil Smartwatch

So between Apple Watch vs Fossil Smartwatch, which brand offers the smarter wearable tech?

If you’re going to ask me, Apple edges out Fossil for the better implementation of the smart features. Plus, app integration and selection were simply better with the watch OS 5, Apple’s smartwatch operating system.

However, it could easily go the other way.

For this brand head-to-head, we highlighted the best watches from both brands to help you decide where to spend your money.

Short Introduction to the Apple Watch

Apple Watch is a product by, of course, Apple and is one of the first major products that was launched in the Tim Cook era. Although Apple has kept mum about the sales of their wearable tech, according to Asymco analyst Horace Dediu, the company has sold over 46 million Apple Watches thus far – making the watch the most successful wearable device in history.

Incidentally, the success of the Apple Watch has also made Apple the most successful watch manufacturer in the world, even topping Rolex as of September 2017.

Apple Watch Top Contenders

We have taken a look at some of the best smartwatches that Apple has to offer and have taken the liberty to handpick the company’s best ones that suit a number of specific needs and all should be worth your money.

Overall Best: Apple Watch Series 4 with GPS

The Apple Watch Series 4 with GPS + Cellular is a feature-packed smartwatch and it also happens to be the option if you’re buying your first Apple-branded smartwatch. As of this writing, the 2018-2019 Apple Watch lineup consists of three major versions: Series 1, Series 3 with GPS, and Series 4 with GPS+Cellular.

So why get the GPS version only instead of the GPS+Cellular model?

Well, the very simplest answer that I can give is the price. The Series 3 with GPS is certainly the most affordable entry point to the Apple Watch ecosystem without missing out on the majority of the key features.

Design has always been a major strength of Apple products and the Apple Watch Series 4 is no exception. The design of the watch is very functional. The colorful square display is very bright and I had no trouble making out the text whether it’s indoor or outdoor.

The watch also features the watchOS 5 which is the best version of it yet. I especially love the fact that navigating the interface is now very similar to how the iPhone works. Siri also works better which means that you now have a true hands-free / eyes-free experience.

The watch also features longer battery life and faster performance which are always a good thing. It has plenty of great features to get by your day-to-day life. Overall, it’s an excellent smartwatch that offers great value.

For the Sports-Oriented: Apple Watch Nike+

Apple is the behemoth of the tech industry. Nike is one of the biggest sports brands in the world. Combine both of them and you have a product that might just be larger than the sum of its parts.

If you’re planning to use a smartwatch to help you with your fitness goals, the Apple Watch Nike+ might just be for you.

One of the first things I love about the watch is the accuracy of the GPS. The Nike+ records the distance, pace, and routes with great accuracy. Even when using treadmills, the distance calculation is quite accurate. The heart rate monitor also offers comparable accuracy to chest strap heart rate monitors.

Apple does love its proprietary apps, so for the Nike+, you have the Nike+ Run Club app. The app is very straightforward to use and offers plenty of features for recording your activities. However, you don’t have to settle with the Nike+ Run Club app since the watch also supports other well-known fitness apps like RunKeeper, MapMyRun, and MyFitnessPal.

In terms of comfort, I’m happy to report that the watch is comfortable on the wrist. I’ve experienced no irritation while wearing the watch during a workout. The band is also outfitted with numerous holes for ventilation.

Overall, the Nike+ is a great, user-friendly smartwatch that works well as an accurate fitness tracker.

For the Budget-Conscious: Apple Watch Series 1

If you are looking for a less expensive alternative to the Series 3, the Apple Watch Series 1 is definitely a solid option.

The Series 1 name is rather confusing since this model is actually newer than the original Apple Watch which is referred to as “Series 0” which was released in 2015. The Series 1 debuted in 2016 along with the now-discontinued Series 2.

The 38mm is about 10% lower in price than the 42mm. The Series 1 will save you less than a hundred dollars but still afford you some pretty good smartwatch features. Despite lacking major features like a GPS, the Series 1 can still track your runs and be used for your workouts without needing your phone.

The Apple Watch Series 1 is also compatible with the watchOS 4 which features improved heart rate tracking features, smarter Siri, and many other enhancements.

For a cheaper price, expect to miss out on some major features and improvements such as GPS, waterproofing, brighter display, faster performance, better battery life, and more.

As long as you’re not hardcore runner or swimmer, the Series 1 has what you need at a far more affordable price.

Short Introduction to the Fossil Smartwatch

Fossil is a very popular American fashion designer and manufacturing company that is known for their designer watches, wallets, handbags, fragrances, and more.

Not planning to be outdone by Apple, Google has released its own smartwatch operating system which is dubbed Android Wear. When it comes to wearable Google-based watches, Fossil is definitely one of the frontliners.

On top of offering full-blown smartwatches, Fossil somehow has managed to stick with their roots by making hybrid smartwatches.

Fossil Smartwatch Top Contenders

Same with Apple’s lineup, we have taken a look at some of the best models that Fossil has to offer in the smartwatch race.

Best Overall: Fossil Q Explorist Gen 3

The Fossil Q Explorist Gen 3 should be an easy recommendation if you want a smartwatch with a fashionable flair.

In my opinion, the Q Explorist lineup is among the best designed and best-looking smartwatches at the moment. It’s also available in many different materials, color options, finishes and band styles, so you can find a timepiece that matches your own personal style. Plus, the straps are swappable which gives you more customization options.

The watch can track steps, distance, and calories burned. However, it’s only making an estimate so it’s not the most accurate tracker out there since it lacks GPS and a heart rate monitor.

Like most smartwatches, the Gen 3 Explorist can display notifications and touchscreen functions for calls, texts, app updates, and emails. It’s also powered by Wear OS, so it’s compatible whether you have an Android or iOS smartphone.

Overall, the Fossil Q Explorist Gen 3 looks and feels just like a regular watch but with some smart thrown in the mix.

If You Want a Regular-Looking Smartwatch: Fossil Q Grant Hybrid Smartwatch

The Fossil Q Grant Hybrid Smartwatch is described, “looks like a watch, acts like a smartwatch” which is fairly accurate.

It’s basically an analog watch with smart features.

The Fossil Q Grant is simply leagues ahead of its competitors when it comes to design and build. It has a gorgeous watch face that’s a real head-turner. I also particularly enjoy the 44m metal frame which feels just about right on my wrist.

The smart features come in a simplistic form of LED lights and vibration motor. The watch can be synced with your Android smartphone or iPhone and you can get notifications via the Q Grant. The LED lights can be used to notify you of things like when certain hashtags are used or when a certain app sends a notification.

The Q Grant is equipped with a 3-axis accelerometer which can track things like steps taken, calories burned, and distance covered. Just don’t expect fancy tracking features like elevation, heart rate monitoring, and sleep tracking.

The Fossil Q Grant Hybrid Smartwatch is easily the best-looking hybrid smartwatch that you can get in the market. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s offered at a great price point.

For the Fitness Enthusiast: Fossil Q Control Gen 3

The Fossil Q Control Gen 3 Smartwatch is the go-to option for hardcore runners and fitness enthusiasts.

While many people would consider the Q Control to be dull and bland, I think the design is good and can work as a watch that fits in any situation. I really enjoy the clean and almost futuristic look of the watch which can be worn whether you are playing sports or attending a suit event.

As mentioned, the Q Control excels in in-depth activity and performance tracking – thanks to its heart rate sensor. It comes pre-loaded with the Google Fit app so you can track your heart rate, steps, and a variety of workouts. The 5ATM water resistance rating means that you can take this watch for a swim.

Overall, the Q Control looks great and works well as a sports watch. However, it does come with a hefty price tag.

The Verdict

So Apple Watch vs Fossil Smartwatch, which do I prefer?

As I’ve mentioned, I have more affinity towards the Apple smartwatches since I’m already knee-deep into Apple’s ecosystem. Plus, most of the “smart” features just work better with Apple’s watches. Tracking and app integration were simply better experiences with my Apple watch.

However, Fossil’s smartwatches have fared well during our comparison.

Fossil watches generally work better with the Android OS, so if you’re already using an Android device, I highly recommend giving Fossil’s offering a look. Plus, they’re great watches if you want a wearable tech that doesn’t look like a “smartwatch.”

Best Watches For Nursing Students

best watches for nursing students

Whether or not you believe wrist watches are a vital (get it) part of a nurses job; there is no doubt that they come in handy. In medical school, watches are just as important. Accurate timekeeping for heart rates, breathing and checking every five minutes to see when its time to go home (kidding).

Because telling accurate time as a nursing student is so important, a durable, comfortable and reliable timepiece is needed to get the job done. Sorry fashionistas but while you are in school, the best looking Rolex watches are not on the top of the list. Long story short, the BEST watch for you, if you are indeed a nurse or a nursing student, is the Nurse Mate Special – Uni Pink Watch. This watch can be comfortably worn and has special features that nurses will appreciate!

Nurse Mate Special – Uni Pink Watch

Instead of saving the best for last, why not begin with it?

The Uni Pink Watch: I chose this watch as the best for a few reasons. For one, it is very comfortable and durable. The rubber bracelet is easily adjustable for any sized wrist and feels great while being worn. What also makes this watch a great choice for any nurse, or nursing student is the large numerical markers within the dial. Watch seekers can choose between the black and pink model featured above, or a white and black model. The model with bright pink numbers and large white military markers is easily the better choice because it is so much easier to read.

The plain, but pretty color scheme is also a highlight of this watch. It is definitely a piece that can be worn outside of school or the office because it can go with any outfit (stick to casual).

Comfortable and Easy to Read

I recommend this watch to those who are in need of an easy to read, comfortable watch for a GREAT price. Nurses rave about how this watch is EXTREMELY easy to read and very comfortable and stylish.

Casio Quartz Resin Casual Watch

Another great choice for nursing students, the Casio “Casual Watch” has a plain design that is easy to read. Due to the simplistic design within the 35mm dial, you can easily read the slow and steady ticks of the quartz movement.

Highlights of this watch include water resistance up to 30m, a durable resin bracelet, and a resin glass dial window. This is also a unisex watch, and goes great with any choice of outfit; or scrubs of course!

Classic Simplicity

This is a watch for those who appreciate simplicity. The timepiece is very neutral, meaning it can go with anything you decide to wear. It is simply a basic, functional and comfortable watch that gets the job done. Many present owners are extremely happy with this watch and find it as a handy piece in their day to day duties.

Timex Unisex “Weekender”

The Weekender is a great addition to this list. This watch has a slightly different design than the last two that I reviewed. You get a brown “slip through” (easy to wear) strap on this and a stainless steel case. It looks more like a traditional dress watch and therefore can be worn with more of a dressy look.

What makes it a great choice for a medical student is the easy to read white dial with military time. A great feature that the Timex has is a light up dial, so the watch can be used in darker areas.

Versatile

This watch is a great buy for those who want an easy to read dial but with varying styles. Because it comes with a slip through, leather strap, you can purchase many colors and designs that can easily be changed out. So in a way, it can seem like you have more than one watch.

Owners are happy with the watches functionality and how it has the ability to light up the dial. A perfect fit for any person in the medical profession!

Motorolla Moto 360 2ND Generation Smartwatch

The Moto 360 is definitely a noteworthy mention on a list of best watches for nurses. What makes this watch so unique compared to other smartwatches on the market is the minute and second hands that the LCD dial displays. This makes it a perfect watch for those who need to keep track of each second.

The watch comes in a 42mm case for both males and females. If you have an Android 4.3+ or an iPhone with iOS 8.2+ than this watch is compatible with your phone.

Smartwatch

I chose this smartwatch because you get all of the benefits of a smartwatch, with an LCD screen that displays the important second hand and minute hand. This watch has been discontinued so to purchase you have to buy from a dealer online like Amazon. But because this is a smartwatch, you are going to pay MORE money than all of the other watches listed in this review. So keep that in mind!

Huawei Watch Stainless Steel

Yes, another smartwatch. But I bet you would never have guessed that the Huawei was even a smartwatch!

One of the best features of the Huawei watch is how it mimics a “normal,” or typical watch. At first glance, you would never think you are looking at a smartwatch. This is the case because the watch is fitted with a beautiful stainless steel bracelet and a bold stainless steel case.  The AMOLED display features multiple watch faces that you can choose from with ticking second hands.

This is the definition of a cool watch. You are sure to be the coolest nurse in the whole hospital.

Smart AND Stylish

For those who don’t mind wearing a stylish watch to school (or work) the Huawei is a perfect fit. Not only does it have features that are great for upcoming nurses; but man it looks great at the same time! I really love how Huawei was able to create a watch that LOOKS like an everyday timepiece but is actually a smartwatch. If smartwatches are your kind of watch, you can not go wrong with this piece.

Spedial Scrub Watch

Heres a watch that was literally made for those in the medical profession.

The Spedial is a PERFECT watch for anyone in the medical profession.  Spedial made this watch with pulse readings in mind, which is why the watch features a great sized 38mm case, a large white dial, and a RED ticking second hand.

Comfort is also a great plus with this watch. The silicone band is sure to feel great and fit for any wrist size. The best part about the band is there are MANY bands available to match your favorite pair of scrubs.  You can get a band in either pink, black, white, teal, blue, white leather or stainless steel silver.

Usability and Affordability

This is downright a great watch for any nurse or medical professional. The easy to read dial, with military time and large tick marks, makes taking pulses a breeze. What really makes this watch great is the red ticking second hand. Not only is this a metaphor for blood (at least I think), but it is so much easier to keep up with the ticking hand, rather than a normal black hand that blends in with the tick marks.

Since this watch is so comfortable, durable and matches with almost any scrubs that you pull out of the closet, it is one of the BEST choices on this list. And it is also very AFFORDABLE. Get ready to be the most stylish person in nursing school!

Whimsical Nurse Watch

Wow, what a great name for this watch – Whimsical ! It can not get any better than this watch. I mean, how can you not like a watch that basically presents what you do within the dial of a watch? This watch is definitely not for anyone, but I am sure many can appreciate it.

What makes this watch a great choice for nursing students, or new nurses entering the profession, is the awesome design. However, the make of the watch is also a good choice for the medical world. It does come in a 42mm case with a smaller subdial within, that displays the time. It is not as easy to read as other watches on this review, but it can still be read. The quartz is known to be quite reliable as well, so battery changes shouldn’t come all that often.

Out of the Ordinary

No doubt, this watch is not for everyone. This makes a great gift for any nursing student or new nurse (with a sense of humor) and who appreciates cute gifts. Many nurses claim the watch is a great conversation starter and some even wear the watch EVERYWHERE that they go. Those who appreciate items and have a true passion for their profession will LOVE this unique timepiece.

Nursing Watches

You use watches for many, many reasons. Taking a pulse may be one of the first purposes that you think of, but other vital readings, administering medication and lab charting are some other important reasons why as a nurse you may want a reliable timepiece.

I made a list of varying styles and types of watches to try and really hit everyone’s different likes and personalities. The most important features tend to be readability, a ticking hand, and durability.  But design, uniqueness, and innovation are other features that some find to be the deciding factor. At the end of the day, your purchase should be based on price range, functionality, and durability. Happy shopping and thank you to all nurses who are making a difference in the world, one tick at a time!

Best Citizen Eco-Drive Watches

best citizen eco-drive watch

Citizen is one of those brands that have been around for a LOOONG time but does not get that much press. Citizen dates back as far as 1924, when they created a pocket watch. Despite a lack of publicity, Citizen creates some great, affordable watches, that focus on design and technology.

Today, we will be reviewing the Eco-Drive models by Citizen. These watches operate with light; natural or artificial. So the batteries never need to be replaced. The Eco-Drive watches are long-lasting, durable timepieces and are a great buy for any watch lover. The Citizen Eco-Drive Silvertone And Black World Time A-T  is hands down the most appealing, and best-reviewed Eco-drive watch by Citizen. If you are on the market for an interesting watch, look no further than the Eco-Drive models. Another TOP choice, is the Eco-Drive Satellite. This watch has so many special additions that set it apart from every other watch that I will be reviewing today.

Citizen Men’s Eco-Drive Chronograph Watch

The beautiful and well-designed chronograph by Citizen is one of the best reviewed Eco-Drive watches on the market. You are first greeted with a large, stainless steel, 48mm case. I am not a huge fan of large cases on watches, but with all of the complexities inside of the dial on this one, it is a necessity.

I love the light silver dial, it perfectly compliments the dark black, 3 inner calenders, tick marks, and beautifully polished silver bezel and bracelet.

Highlights of this watch are definitely in the design. Of course, like all Eco-drive watches, the movement is controlled by light. Where this watch really shines (no pun intended) is the beautiful dial. The three black subdials feature 24 hour time, 1/10th seconds and even a time zone feature. The power reserve on this bad boy is 270 days and it even has a built-in alarm.

Recommendation

If large faced watches and complex designs are your forte; than this watch is for you! If large cases are not typically your thing, I would still try out this watch. For a large watch, it looks great.

In no way is this normal watch. You can wear it with just about anything and it is sure to stimulate some great conversations! I recommend the Eco-Drive Chronograph to those who want a little more than your “average watch.”

Citizen Eco-Drive Stainless Steel Axiom

Here we have a unique, futuristic looking watch. This timepiece holds the same light-driven quartz movement, but just looks so much cooler!

The Axiom has a 40mm stainless steel case; a perfect size in my opinion.  And a great looking, dark black dial. The black dial has only a chrome, underlined Citizen logo, think silver hands, a single 12 o clock hour marker and a small date window on the right. The simplicity of this watch is what makes it so desirable.

Owners of this stylish timepiece claim that it is durable (up to 99ft water resistance) functional and beautiful. You can be sure to pull this watch out no matter what outfit you plan on wearing.

Recommendation

I recommend this watch to those who have a taste for contemporary design. It is a timepiece that can be worn with just about anything, due to the simple design. Make this your everyday watch and I guarantee you it will garner some awesome compliments.

I can see this watch on the wrist of our futurists, scientists, and people with a love for fashion and innovation.

Citizen Eco-Drive Dress Watch

Simple, durable and extremely affordable are adjectives that describe the Citizen Eco-Drive Dress timepiece.

The case has a diameter of 41mm. I typically love the 40mm cases, but a 1mm larger size does not change much, and actually looks better on those with larger wrists. The textured black dial is protected by an anti-reflective, sapphire crystal. What makes the value of this watch so great, is the high-quality materials used within this timepiece.

Recommendation

This is a watch for those who like classic watches. Nothing about the design is complex, it is simply a nice watch. You can perfectly pair this timepiece with any business or dress attire, but it also makes a great everyday watch due to the durability and clean design.

Citizen Eco-Drive BM6552-52E

The Eco-Drive model BM6552-52E is a great mention due to all of the happy owners. It is hard to find a negative review on this watch, and for a very good reason.

This is YOUR watch if you have a smaller wrist. The case diameter is 32mm. The rectangular design prevents the watch from looking “too small,” and honestly overall it is a great size and weight for any wrist (unless you are a champion arm wrestler that is).

The watch is built with a gold-tone, stainless steel case with a seriously nice black dial.  Your eyes are drawn to the dial with each tick from the gold second hand passing the luxurious gold “diamond” looking hour placeholders.

You get the light powered  Eco-Drive Caliber E111 Japanese-quartz movement, with a power reserve up to 180 days! Once the battery begins to get low, the watch actually warns you that its time to charge. And unless you are a vampire, charging this watch shouldn’t be difficult.

Recommendation

Not everyone is into smaller, square-shaped cases. So this watch is not for everyone. But once you see this watch in person, you can appreciate its beauty. Because this watch has a unique design and great features (like a hardened mineral crystal to prevent scratches) I definitely recommend this watch. This timepiece tends to look great with dress attire, but wear it as you choose! I’m sure you’ll be happy with it though!

Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster Diver Watch

An Eco-Drive dive watch? No way!

You gotta appreciate what Citizen did here. They took a classic dive watch, implemented unique light-power technology and market it at an AMAZINGLY affordable price!

A problem many dive watch enthusiasts have, who do not have the budget to purchase a Rolex or other expensive automatic movements, hate having to change the batteries on their dive watches. The Citizen Promaster dive makes that problem a thing of the past.

Highlights of this watch include, up to 200m of water resistance (an ISO certified dive watch), a durable, 48mm stainless-steel case and a comfortable polyurethane band.

Those who are against the polyurethane, rubbery look, can easily swap out the band for a stainless steel band at any time.

Recommendation

Dive watch lovers, rejoice! The Citizen Promaster is a great choice for an intermediate dive watch. The price point is unbeatable, and the parts used on this watch are top-notch. If you are on the market for a dive watch, you should consider a Citizen Promaster!

Citizen Eco-Drive Satellite

Those who have read my reviews before, know how much I love watches. More specifically how much I love, high-quality, automatic watches. Now the Eco-Drive Satellite may not have an automatic movement, but oh my do I love this watch.

This watch is STUNNING. A 43.5mm stainless steel case fits the complex and beautiful qualities inside of the dial. The dial is a dark black, with large silver hands.

Wait until you hear all of the functionalities of this watch. A bi-directional rotating dial makes it so you can tell the time in ANY time zone. It also has a built-in, RX-GPS function. Some say it takes a minute or two to get started, but once it does it is FULLY FUNCTIONAL and a great addition to this timepiece.

Recommendation

THIS WATCH IS AMAZING. The technologies used in this watch make it worth the slightly higher price point. Not only is the watch beautiful, but it is functional, unique and of course, never needs batteries. A perfect watch for vacations and long road trips. You will definitely be happy with the Satellite!

Citizen Eco-Drive Silvertone And Black World Time A-T

Last, but certaintly not least, we have the Eco-Drive World Time A-T by Citizen.

With so much going on inside of the PERFECTLY sized, 42mm stainless-steel guilloche dial. You are sure to find a feature or two on this watch that you absolutely love. The band is made of strong titanium with a comfortable fold-over clasp. It very well may be the most comfortable Eco-Drive watch by Citizen.

Never be behind on time with this watch. You have the day of the week, radio powered time zone feature, time (with great accuracy), and 12/24 time keeping sub dial all in one watch. What makes things even better is the watch is water resistant up to 200m. It is SO CLOSE to being considered a dive watch.

Recommendation

The watch speaks for itself. At first glance, you are appalled by all of the complexities of the dial. The polished titanium case and bracelet keep the watch looking bold and professional. Expect this to be your EVERYDAY watch. It is so beautiful and durable, you don’t ever have to worry about damaging this amazing and affordable timepiece.

Eco-Drive Watches Final Verdict

You can not get a better bang for your buck than with the Eco-Drive watches. Not many watches implement such innovative technologies, with attractive designs while maintaining an affordable price point. Those who are seeking HIGH-QUALITY watches can obtain just that with the Eco-Drive models.

Owners of these watches RAVE about the accuracy, durability, and quality, making any Eco-Drive watch a great choice. It is not easy to find negative feedback anywhere on the web, people LOVE Eco-Drive timepieces! When deciding which watch to purchase, make sure you choose a trustworthy website like Amazon.

Review of The Orkina Watch Brand

orkina watch review

Orkina watches. Ever heard of them? Orkina is a fairly new watch brand that is extremely affordable and has some excellent watch designs.

So how are their watches? Well, they vary. One thing is the watches are VERY cheap. So much so that they are great beginner watches to test out. Another great feature is that some are built with automatic movements. On the downside, some of the models by Orkina are cheaply made and use low-quality materials. That is what I am here for. To save the day! I am going to review the best watches, like the Orkina Skeleton which is definitely one of the top reviewed watches by Orkina. In this Orkina watch review, I will also mention watches that you may want to avoid.

Orkina Short History (somewhat)

Now the history on Orkina is not simple to find. Multiple searches on the web came up blank. From what I was able to find, I can see that the brand is a Chinese company, that makes very affordable watches. Because these watches are so cheap, it is easy to infer that the materials used are in fact, cheap. And that claim is true. Many reviews on Amazon, Google, Youtube etc.. have similar reviews from owners venting about the low quality of the Okrina watches. Not to say there are no positive reviews.

Many other people on Amazon express how much they enjoy their watches by Okrina and recommend them to others. I do have to say, if you are not in the market for expensive watches, or you are buying a watch for a child/teenager; Okrina may be the brand for you! My word of advice is to start off with Orkina to introduce yourself into the watch game. You can test out different designs and movements to see what works best for your style.

Orkina Top Watches

Today’s review will consist of multiple, higher regarded watches by Orkina. These will be watches that I do not mind recommending. I will end the review with a few watches to stay away from (solely my opinion).

Orkina White Dial “Sports

I would be lying if I told you this is not an attractive watch. That alone is the main highlight of this watch and what makes it a top watch by Orkina.

Design

The design is great at first glance. Once the watch is on the wrist you can tell that it is not of the best quality. But, for the price, it looks great.

A gold 42mm case is complemented by a dark brown, genuine leather band. The bright white dial and gold Roman Numerals and hour markers plastered on the face. Protecting the dial is a mineral crystal. The hands on this timepiece appear as rounded arrows. Overall, the piece has a very classic, old-school watch. Because of this trait, it may not be the best choice for a younger child. In my opinion, the watch looks best in dress clothes, with a nice suit or light button down. So Orkina sport is probably more suitable for an older crowd.

Durability

Not the best watch when it comes to durability, but also not the worst. The genuine leather strap is not known to last very long. The case is somewhat strong, meaning it can take a few bumps and bruises.

The mineral crystal can obtain scratches pretty easily, yet the scratches can be wiped away with little elbow grease. If deep scratches occur, mineral crystals are cheap to replace. When wearing outside, do not get this watch wet. It is not made to get wet. It can take some minor water damage (a few minutes in light rain) but not much more than that. For the price of the watch, the durability of this piece is not bad.

Movement

A Chinese, battery powered, quartz movement runs this timepiece. A few reviews on Amazon claim that the watch keeps its time and gets the job done. That being said, that is what you should expect. A watch that stays within a few minutes each day. The accuracy is not something that should be expected when purchasing this watch.

Orkina Skeleton Watch

Probably a favorite by the Orkina brand, the Skeleton is indeed an interesting watch.

Design

The design of this watch is what pulls many people in. And, well the price of course.

A white, transparent dial clearly shows the movement inside. The numbers and hands within the dial are gold, which goes well with the gold movement. The rest of the watch is made of a silver, stainless steel material. What makes this watch a top reviewed timepiece is the interesting dial and cool shapes inside. This is definitely a watch for both a younger and older crowd. It can easily be worn with any casual outfit.

Durability

Skeletons are pretty durable, right? Well, the same goes for this watch. Unlike the Orkina “sport” watch, this watch can actually take some heat.

Customers seem to be quite happy with the strength of this timepiece. The bracelet is bulky and large and can surely take on any drops or bumps. It also has a “water resistance” of up to 30m. I still would not recommend showering or swimming with this watch, but rain and minor exposure to water should be fine!

Movement

A mechanical, self-winding movement runs this timepiece. Pretty obvious, since you can see the movement straight through the dial. There seems to be a consensus that the watch keeps a great time for about 42 hours. Which is not bad for a mechanical movement. After the 42 hours pass, simply wind up the watch to get the time going again!

Orkina Rose Gold “Tourbillion”

Another transparent, skeleton for you.

Design

The Tourbillion definitely has a unique look to it. Rose gold is a great addition and matches well with the midnight black strap. At 40mm, the case is a great size to show off the insanely cool looking movement.

With gold Roman Numerals placed around the dial and a gold crown appointed at the top of the dial, this piece sure looks like the definition of a fashion watch. This should be worn with a nice outfit and looks great with dark and light colors. When choosing an outfit with this watch, be creative. This is an interesting watch, which calls for a pairing of clothes that is unique and different.

One interesting feature on this watch, in particular, is the look of the bezel. it has a gold, monster truck tire looking insert, giving the watch an almost 3D look. This one feature adds a bit of distraction from the mechanical movement inside and brings the design together as a whole. I really do love it!

Durability

The “high-grade” synthetic leather is meant to sound like it lasts long but does not really do so. Fading and tears can appear somewhat easily, so this is a watch made for a more careful, older group of people.

As for the dial, it can last. The dial is built pretty strong and polished in a way that imperfections are not shown. Would I say that this watch meets the definition of durability? No. But in the right hands, of someone who is careful with their belongings, this watch can last for a little while.

Movement

Another mechanical self-winding movement here. Even when mechanical movements are not as great as a Rolex; I still prefer them to quartz. Just thinking that your watch is keeping time from winding it up a few times is mindbending, at least to those who don’t understand the complexity of watchmaking (me).

When it comes to the movement used in this piece, one word to describe it would be decent.  It is the same Chinese movement as in the Skeleton and functions just as well, or not as well depending on your standards for a movement. Overall, depending on who this watch is for, it should be a good buy!

Some Watches to Avoid (based on Amazon customer reviews)

Now, this is not a topic that I usually cover when reviewing watches. But after reading multiple customer complaints, I thought it would be necessary to let my readers know which watches to buy and which ones to avoid. You can thank me later…

Orkina Silver Case

Multiple reviews claim that this watch had pieces fall off. I do admit, it does have a beautiful design. If you don’t mind a hand or two falling off, then go right ahead! Otherwise, go for the Orkina Skeleton

Orkina Colorful Nylon

This one looks like it should be on a clown. Not to talk down to the watch, but for the price, you are definitely better off with any other watch by Orkina. Plus many say this watch feels like a toy.

The Final Verdict of the Brand

Despite my criticism, Orkina does make some nice looking watch. And I mean, come on, these watches are the most affordable pieces that I have ever seen! How can you not want to even TRY one out? I, myself, own multiple expensive, high-quality watches and I even purchased an Orkina.

To conclude the article I will list the pros and cons of the brand as a whole. Hopefully, with this, you can decide which watch to take home and which ones to skip. One thing that I really have to say, is for such a cheap price, it is definitely worth a try buying one of these timepieces. Who knows? You, your children, your neighbor or even your grandpa may love Orkina.

Pros

  • VERY, VERY affordable
  • Nice designs
  • Automatic movements (on some)
  • Durable bracelets (stainless steel models)
  • Unique designs

Cons

  • Cheap material
  • Synthetic leather bands
  • Chinese movements
  • Not always reliable

Rolex vs. Movado Brand Review

movado vs rolex

When you hear someone say,”luxury watches,” what are the first brands that come to mind? Sorry to be the arrogant guy who answers for you, but I would say Rolex, Omega, Breitling and Hermes to name a few.  The name Movado is not usually considered in this list of luxury timepieces, and I agree that it should not be.

There was a time, however, long long ago, when Movado was a luxury brand. I can write an MLA formatted essay for my readers expressing my anger with the “new” style of Movado watches, but instead, I will be civil and give an honest review and compare the brand to a favorite of mine, Rolex. Long story short, I choose ANY Rolex over a Movado any time, day, location, state of mind etc… Rolex is one of those brands that dominate the realm of watches and craft amazing timepieces that make my statement sound. I will compare and contrast many top watches by each brand to give an honest and nonbias review (somewhat) of which brand is better. Hope you enjoy!

Dive Watches

Sports watches are a highly regarded market in the watch game. Particularly, dive watches. Rolex is known to create some of the worlds best dive watches, like the Sea Dweller and the famous Submariner.  Movado, is not as known for their dive watches, but they do create a couple, like the Series 800.

Rolex Submariner

A true beauty when it comes to dive watches, the Rolex Submariner is easily one of the top dive watches ever created. The design is classic and stylish, offering a flexible watch that can be worn in a business suit, or even a swimsuit.

Specs

Whether you opt for a vintage Submariner or one of the newer models, you are sure to be happy. For the sake of not confusing anyone with all different specs and designs, I will stick to one of the newest Submariner models, ref. 114060.

A beautiful oyster, stainless steel, 40mm case fits lovely with the bold, stainless steel bracelet. The scratch resistant crystal is a great addition and keeps the watch looking brand new.

A unidirectional, scratch resistant, ceramic bezel compliments the black dial to perfection.

A few factors that truly set this watch apart from many dive watches are the 300m water resistance and the fantastic 3130 swiss movements within each piece. The watch also has a long-lasting, blue luminescence, which definitely comes in handy if you are a professional diver.

Overall Review

The Submariner is a classic, that was released in 1953. Since then, Rolex continues to update the innovation and technology used in the Submariner and keeps the name going strong.

Movado Series 800 “Dive”

This is the closest when it comes to a dive watch for the Movado brand. The series 800 is definetly a good looking sports watch, but falls short when it comes to materials used.

Specs

With a 40mm stainless steel case, a durable sapphire crystal and up to 200m of water resistance; the Series 800 do seem like a great choice for a watch. And don’t take me the wrong way, this is not a bad watch. The design is classic and can be worn with anything. But this watch does not compete with the Submariner for a few reasons.

For one, the steel on this piece is nowhere near as polished and durable as the Submariner. The movement is a quartz on the Series 800, which I do not care for. Especially for a sports watch, where reliability is key. Although this watch is attractive and much cheaper than the Submariner, it is nowhere near as innovative and classic as the Submariner.

Rolex Submariner Movado Series 800 “Dive”
Rolex Swiss 3130 Movement Swiss Quartz
Flat Sapphire Crystal Sapphire Crystal
Stainless steel Oyster Bracelet Stainless steel Bracelet
40mm Case 40mm Case
Unidirectional 60-minute Ceramic Bezel Unidirectional Aluminum Bezel
2.5 Magnifying Cyclops No Cyclops
Black dial w/ luminescent hands Black dial w/ luminescent hands
300m water resistance 200m water resistance

If you are not in the market for an “expensive” watch, the Rolex may not be a suitable choice, and you may opt for the Movado. But despite the price difference, the Submariner reigns supreme.

Luxury Watches

Now I will review the Muesum models by Movado and compare them to the classic Datejust timepieces by Rolex. This is not really the best comparison, but the closest when it comes to luxury desgins.

Rolex Datejust

The Datejust is a classic model by Rolex, that comes in many sizes colors and materials. Featured above is reference number 16233, a handsome and vintage watch to release from Rolex.

Specs

What really makes Datejusts great is their luxury design and high-quality materials. The 18k yellow gold bezel and the yellow gold and stainless steel jubilee bracelet give the watch a fancy and “expensive” look. In my opinion (not just because I own many Datejusts), Datejust watches are the most luxurious timepieces made by Rolex.

The case is a great size, 36mm. Today, watches are being made with larger faces, and some people prefer them. I, actually disagree, a smaller case means easier wear with dress clothes, it looks good on smaller wrists (like mine). A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal is added for extra durability, as well as an expertly crafted, screw down crown. This is so water can not enter the dial. The dial on this piece is a dark black and just is a beautiful pairing.

And of course, the Datejust is equipped with a high-grade automatic, self-winding movement.  No matter how much Rolex perfects their movements each year, the older movements are still VERY accurate and are designed to perfection.

Movado Museum

This is a watch that had to be added to this review. The museum models by Movado are by far the best sellers.

I could not think of a watch by Movado to compare to the Datejust. So Museum is the closest that I could come up with. In NO way, does it compete with the Datejust.

Specs

At first glance, this is a very contemporary piece. In my opinion, it does not pull off the modern look as well as other similarly priced watches, like the Eone Bradley.

To truly review the Museum models by Movado, you can not compare them to Rolex. So within this subheading, I will give the overall pros and cons of Museum watches.

PROS
  • A sapphire crystal
  • 40mm case
  • Many choices to choose from (color wise)
  • Modern design (if you are into this type of look)
  • Moderate price

These qualities are some highlights of the Museum models. Many customer reviews that you can find on Amazon rate the museum watches well. These come from customers who do not want to spend much more on top quality Rolex’s. I do not disagree with this claim at all; but I do believe there are other CHEAPER and nicer watches out there that are more original and of better quality than Movado.

Cons
  • Swiss quartz movement ( this is a con to me, may not be to others)
  • Simplistic, boring design
  • Feels cheap when on the wrist, almost like a toy

If I can review the Museum model in one word, it would be overpriced. Although the model is “cheap” when compared to a Rolex, the quality still does not match the price. I say, spend more to get a higher quality that will last longer and keep you satisfied.

Overall

At the end of the day, when you are fishing for your wallet and ready to make an online purchase for a watch, opt for a Rolex. That is if you are choosing between a Rolex and a Movado.

If you are lucky enough to find a vintage Movado, then the choice is not as simple. The original watches by Movado were great and actually made of good quality and automatic movements. After the brand was sold, everything changed.

So unless you are truly in love with the design of Movado watches, I do not recommend them.

More affordable Rolex watches exist, like this Oyster Perpetual. You can also find deals on Amazon at times, where independent sellers are “getting rid” of their watches for insanely cheap prices!

You Decide

Now, do not let me be the ultimate decider in what watch you buy. I do undertand that some Rolex watches can be expensive, and therefore unattainable. If the design of Movado watches grabs your attention and looks great to you, GO AHEAD and buy one! There are plenty of happy customer reviews on Amazon that you can find. Many people even claim that the movements work fine and last for years! My review was strictly comparing the brand to Rolex, where, Movado simply does not compete.

Other Watches

There are definitely some other notable watches to mention by each brand. Since this is an overall review of each brand as a whole, I must add these other watches.

Rolex

Air King

The Air King is an excellent watch by Rolex that offers a simple, luxurious design with an extremely accurate movement.

Explorer

Rolex created the Explorer to offer a more affordable watch to those who want a Rolex. The design is just as simple as the air king, yet offers some great quality material.

GMT Master

GMT Master watches by Rolex look similar to Submariners but with added unique features. The watch feautred above is the, Batman model by Rolex. A true beauty.

Movado

SmartWatch

Probably the most interesting watch by Movado, the smartwatch. I saved this one for the end because it obviously cannot be compared to a Rolex. If you do opt to buy a Movado, I say get THE SMARTWATCH!

Bold Thin

Why not add an ALL GOLD watch by Movado. You can always feel like you are in the song “All Gold Everything”   Definitely an interesting choice.

SE Pilot

Other than the Smartwatch, This would be another watch that I recommend by Movado. Although I still believe it is very overpriced, it has a pretty attractive design.
