However, with new advancements, they can accurately track tire movements and provide feedback on your biking session. So, whether you’re using the smartwatch as a competitive cyclist or just a quick ride around the block, these best smartwatches for cycling can help.

Plus, the slim yet durable design is simplistic but keeps the watch intact throughout your workout.

On top of that, you’ll be able to monitor your sleep patterns, set the alarm, and manage any notifications on the screen from your phone. Overall, it’s an excellent system if you want full control from your wrist.

Ultra Slim Design

Lastly, the design is slim enough where it doesn’t clog up your screen or expect you to wear a heavy wristwatch. Instead, it’s lightweight, durable, and features a breathable black strap. However, if you get the urge to change it up, you can purchase your own strap and wear that one instead.

What Do We Think?

We believe that this is genuinely the best smartwatch for cycling. It provides you with multiple monitoring systems that help track all your activities throughout the day, which most others can’t do. Plus, the small and slim design looks sleek and modern. Add the fact that you can have full control over your phone and other notifications while you’re cycling, and you’ve got yourself a useful smartwatch.

Runner Up: Garmin Vivoactive HR

The Garmin Viviactive HR is our second best smartwatch for cycling. It’s been designed with a beautiful slim screen that’s high resolution and features a multitude of fitness tracking applications. Unlike others, the longer battery life and smartphone pairing make this one of the best for those on the go.

Heart Monitoring System

A healthy heart is the key to being physically fit, which is why the Vivoactive HR comes with a GPS Smartwatch featuring an elevated heart rate monitor.

By measuring the pulse on your wrist, the smartwatch will accurately display the numbers tracked without the need to use a chest strap.

Extensive Battery Life

The one major problem with smartwatches is that they tend to have short battery life and need to be recharged. While others may last one to two days, this one features an 8-day battery life if using the tracking mode and up to 13 hours in GPS mode.

Overall, it depends on what applications and features you’re going to use to determine if the battery life is worth it or not.

Built-in Sports Apps

The smartwatch comes built with specific sports apps to help you log and track your session. As the main feature, the GPS enabled cycling app enables you to track times, distance traveled, speed and calories.

Besides this, it comes with an accelerometer, GPS, golf course apps, and step tracking. As you can see, it’s best for those looking for an all-around system.

What Do We Think?

Overall, it’s an excellent smartwatch which enables you to keep track of multiple sports. However, if you’re using it for cycling, it may be a bit overwhelming.

The long battery life is a useful feature, but the fact that you can drain it quickly using other apps makes it mediocre. Either way, we find that it’s best suited for those switching up their workout routine.

Best Heart Rate Monitor: Polar A370

If you’re searching for an all-around fitness smartwatch, then you can’t go wrong with the Polar A370. It’s a 24/7 fitness watch that includes multiple features and apps to help track your overall health. That being said, if you’re trying to monitor other aspects of your life instead of just your cycling, this is the perfect fit.

Multiple Fitness & Health Trackers

Similar to other smartwatches, the Polar features multiple trackers to help your fitness journey. It includes a continuous heart rate monitor that produces a whole day worth of information.

Plus, you can use the information provided to tailor calorie-burning activities. Besides this, there’s a Sleep Plus app which can help you track sleep and give you better insights into your sleeping habits.

Personal Workout Guider

If you need a little nudge to reach your fitness goals, then you will find the workout guidance tools useful. With the unique tracking system, the watch calculates data it collects from other activities, and your heart rate to help build a better workout plan.

Anyone looking for guidance and feedback will genuinely appreciate this aspect, as it can help you meet your goals faster.

Reliable GPS Tracker

However, we want to take a look at one of the possible benefits that are also a downfall. The GPS navigation is amazingly accurate and provides you useful information for tracking speed, routes, and distances.

But, you will need to have your phone with you at all times. While this isn’t a problem for most of us, the downside is that if your phone dies or loses internet connection, then you won’t be able to access any of these features.

What Do We Think?

The Polar gives you more accurate results and tracking than any other on our list, but it’s not our best listed because it has short battery life, must be paired with your phone, and lacks on other features you may find in other fitness smartwatches.

However, it’s perfect for bikers because of the large easy to read display, the accurate tracking, and allows you to pair it with 3rd party services.

Best for Daily Activity Monitoring: Apple Watch Series 4

Our last pick is the Apple Watch Series 4, which is by far one of the best for all around daily activities. For those who find themselves always on the go, the Apple Watch is the perfect smartwatch to help them stay connected, track fitness, and improve their cycling.

New Improvements

The design has since then been upgraded from the previous model. It comes with a large display, electrical heart sensors, and a newly redesigned digital crown which provides haptic feedback. These are excellent features for those looking to monitor their heart rate and keep within specific ranges.

Proactive Health Monitor

There’s an ECG located under the smartwatches backside. This eliminates the use of chest straps or other types of heart monitoring systems. You’ll be given notifications if your heart rate is irregular, out of its reasonable bounds, or fall detection or SOS.

Ultimate Workout Partner & Activity Tracker

The ultimate workout partner is perfect for those who want to improve themselves with others. If you’re in a group, you can sync together and get notifications every time someone is closing in on you.

Besides this, you can also see up to five metrics in front of you, giving you the upper hand.

What Do We Think?

Out of all the best watch for cycling, we’d say that this is the least to please you. While it does have, it’s pros and cons, and it can’t be used for cycling.

Why? Because it’s more of a monitor daily activity fitness watch. It doesn’t feature many other useful apps or tools that could help you with your cycling session.

Our Verdict On The Best Smartwatch For Cycling

As we come to the final push of the article we should ask, is there best smartwatch for cycling? The truth is, any of the ones that we’ve listed have been useful for bikers. However, some come with extra features that you’d find helpful for other aspects throughout your day.

That being said, you should take the time to narrow the four options down to find one that would work with your daily life. If you tend to cycle once every few days, then you may not want something as accurate like the Garmin. However, if you want an all day watch, the other three listed are exactly what you’re looking for.

As a regular cyclist, you should consider as well the best heart rate monitoring for cycling as one of the basic tools for continues improvement.

Either way, being a cyclist is impressive and enables you to breathe fresh air while being outdoors passing by the scenery. Overall, that’s why we believe the Fitbit Surge Fitness Superwatch is the best smartwatch for cycling.

What to Look Out For When Buying the Best Smartwatch Under $50

Before you shop for a smartwatch, you need to consider some factors. Usually, these factors are features which will help a user get the best from such a product. Now let’s see what to look out for before you buy a smartwatch.

 Compatibility with Your Smartphone

One of the things you should check is your phone’s compatibility with the smartwatch. Most smartwatches work with both Andriod and iOS devices; however, they might not access their full functions.

Style of Watch

The style of the watch also determines the type of item you want. However, many watches have either the techy or analog look. Some have changeable straps while others have a fixed bracelet.

Apps the Watch Supports

Before you buy a smartwatch, ensure it comes with apps that you need. After all, it makes no sense, if you’re a fitness nut and you end up buying a smartwatch that only offers push notification.

Battery Life of the Smartwatch

The battery life of a smartwatch determines how long it can be used on a single charge. If you can plug in your watch to a power source without effort, then any model will serve well. However, if it can stay for days without charging your smartwatch or you are always on the road, you should choose a model with longer battery life.

Final Word

Recently, smartwatches cost more than most people could afford. But now there is a wide selection of stylish and practical smartwatches for under $50. This gives you many options to choose from.

The great thing about this device is that it can compete with the flagship watches from high-end brands. For instance, the new wave of budget smartwatches has the functions of a typical smartphone in a small package. They also help users keep fit and stay healthy at the same time.

Although all watches featured on our list have their cons, they work well with most devices. They also do a great job monitoring our health. What to Look Out for When Buying a Smartwatch for Teens

If you want to buy a new smartwatch for a young adult, you need to consider some factors. Such factors include the reason for purchasing the watch -which is to help your teen stay healthy and fit. Now let’s go into details about what to expect in a good smartwatch.

Health Features

As explained earlier, you should consider the health features before you buy a smartwatch. Such features help monitor activity such as steps taken, sleep patterns, active minutes and distance covered. You can also perform sport tracking during activities such as running, biking, dancing, and jogging. However one of the essential health features of a smartwatch is heart rate tracking.

Longer Battery Life

It’s important a smartwatch for a teen has long battery life. For instance, if you purchased a smartwatch for a young adult, they become excited. However once the battery becomes low after little use, they lose interest in the item. This means you should purchase a watch with a battery that lasts as long as 2 to 3 days.

Better Smart Features

Smart features come as another option to consider before you buy a smartwatch for a young adult. These include music storage, call and app notifications, online payments and calendar alerts.

Also with these features, you can operate your phone without having it close by. Thus even if your phone is at home and during your morning run, you can still view your notifications, texts, and calendar alerts. You can also reply or ignore these messages and even phone calls.

Best Fitbit for Nurses: Top Wearable for Healthcare Professionals

Nurses are some of the most hardworking healthcare professionals. Nurses have a lot on their plate while they are doing their job. They have to count pulse and respiration, do charting, med times, and the list goes on. Plus, nurses walk a lot and can take around 11,000 steps on a regular 12-hour shift.

Therefore, investing in a good quality wearable should be in the best interest of all nurses. A smartwatch with the right set of features can make all the difference to the average nurse.

Best Fitbit for Nurses

1. Fitbit Charge 2

The Fitbit Charge 2 is probably the most popular model from Fitbit’s line of activity trackers. The original Charge was already good on its own but the Charge 2 is way better.

Good-Looking, Multisport Tracker

The Fitbit Charge 2 is not a full-featured smartwatch per se but it’s certainly not lacking in terms of features.

First, the beautiful OLED displays the call, text & calendar notifications and they’re perfectly readable regardless of lighting conditions. This is, of course, important for nurses to check the time or a text message at a glance. It has the PurePulse feature that provides accurate and continuous heart rate tracking and measure calories burned.

For nurses who are always on their feet, the built-in activity tracker will track your steps, stairs climbed, distance covered, and active minutes. The tracker will also shed light on the quality of your sleep. There’s also a vibrating alarm that will gently wake you up once it’s time to hit your shift.

Serious fitness enthusiasts and athletes can unlock the potential of this wearable by downloading the Fitbit app. With the app, you’ll get access to even more advanced metrics to help you stay on top of your fitness goals.

The Fitbit Charge 2 is highly recommended for nurses for its excellent tracking features and lightweight profile. The Fitbit Charge 3 is also a good consideration since it’s the updated version but personally, the Charge 2 is good enough and cheaper.

2. Fitbit Versa

Making a case for a smartwatch to people is not easy. On top of commanding a high price tag, most smartwatches don’t fair well in the looks department. The Fitbit Versa is the result when the company went back to the drawing board and designed a watch that most people would want to wear.

Best Fitbit, Design-Wise

It’s easy to mistake the Versa for an Apple Watch. At a glance, it’s obvious that Fitbit took a few design cues from Apple’s wearable but you’ll be happy to know that it’s available for only a fraction of the price.

Don’t get us wrong, the Versa still pretty much looks like a smartwatch. However, I’m more compelled to wear the Versa outside, not just inside the gym. It’s a good thing that there are Versa replacement straps available so it’s easier to match the style that you’re going for.

As for the features, you can expect the standard ones like all-day activity tracking, 24/7 heart rate, & sleep stages, and more. It also comes with 15+ exercise modes like Run or Swim and syncs with your smartphone for more advanced metrics. The watch is also available in Versa Lite Edition if you simply want the basic tracking features.

Healthcare workers will love this smartwatch for its sleek design (you can wear it to work no problem), on-point tracking, and tech-savvy features. Overall, the Versa is a true bang for your buck smartwatch.

3. Fitbit Alta HR

Fitbit skyrocketed in popularity due to their lightweight activity trackers. The company solidifies its reputation for lightweight wearables with the Fitbit Alta HR.

Lightweight But Not Light in Features

The Fitbit Alta HR is an update to the classic Fitbit Alta. The Alta HR is basically the original Alta with a heart rate sensor.

One of the highlights of the Alta HR is its stylish design. It’s a sleek and stylish wearable and looks more like an elegant piece of jewelry than an activity tracker. This is especially the case if you opt for the rose gold or metal band.

Nurses will appreciate the 3-axis accelerometer that accurately tracks your daily steps. It also utilizes this information to track the distance you have covered and stairs climbed. The screen displays your active minutes and calories burned and with the HR sensor, the displayed metrics are even more accurate and in-depth.

The SmartTrack feature will automatically activate once you start an activity. Unfortunately, there’s no way to manually start an activity like with other Fitbit trackers. It’s also worth noting that there’s no timer displayed when initiating an activity.

It’s one of the best Fitbit for nurses because it’s incredibly lightweight and accurate. Plus, the band is customizable so you can match it with your uniform.

4. Fitbit Inspire HR

If you have never tried an activity/fitness tracker before, the Fitbit Inspire HR is a solid entry-level option. It may not the most innovative Fitbit out there, it’s a tracker that’s worth looking into for the price alone.

A Great Fitbit for Beginners

Looking at the Inspire HR, it certainly looks familiar. That’s right, it looks pretty similar to the Alta. However, in my opinion, the Inspire HR comes out on top in terms of design. It’s a sleek and lightweight band that feels great on the wrist.

The features are about as basic as you can get with the Inspire HR. The tracker comes with an auto-detect feature that triggers as you begin an activity like running or walking. Since it comes with an HR sensor, nurses can easily check for vitals on the fly.

It’s a good thing that the Inspire HR works with the excellent Fitbit app. With the app, it’s easy to keep track of your activities and see more advanced stats that will help you achieve your fitness goals. As you might expect from a Fitbit, the Inspire HR offers excellent sleep tracking.

We recommend the Fitbit Inspire HR to nurses who want to track their vitals and fitness goals 24/7 but are not too keen to break the bank. The 5-day battery life means that you can wear it for a week’s worth of shifts without charging.

5. Fitbit Blaze

The Fitbit Blaze is actually the brand’s first crack at a fitness smartwatch that you can wear daily. It’s a solid choice for a fitness tracker but not so much for a smartwatch.

An Upgrade to Your Fitness Tracker

The Fitness Blaze is actually made up of two parts. First, you have the band that’s connected to a stainless steel frame. The rest of the Blaze is contained in a black rectangle that you can snap into the frame. While this may seem like a novel idea at the time, this design choice seems to be more like a gimmick than a practical feature.

The Blaze comes with a host of tracking features which is where its strengths lie. You have the PurePulse HR feature that provides continuous monitoring with simplified zones. The SmartTrack feature is also a standout as it automatically detects if you’re about to start an activity.

As for the design, Fitbit sure tried to make the Blaze look attractive. However, I can imagine that many people won’t be able to get past its angular look and sharp corners. I must admit that I wasn’t too wild about the design. However, the design did grow on me.

However, the Blaze does offer a chronograph face which is perfect for nurses. The stopwatch and digital seconds are also great additions for healthcare providers, especially with regards to taking vitals

With that said, the Blaze isn’t all that different than a regular Fitbit activity tracker. However, it’s certainly one of the best Fitbit for nurses and healthcare professionals.

6. Fitbit Ionic

The Fitbit Ionic was labeled as the “first real smartwatch” by Fitbit. The Blaze did not measure up to everyone’s expectations so the Ionic is designed to be the upgrade.

Next-Gen Tracker With Last-Gen Looks

Let’s first start with my major gripe about the Ionic. The Ionic has a watch face that only Fitbit could love. It’s almost as if it’s Fitbit’s 80’s vision of a modern smartwatch. It features the same angular look at the Blaze which I’m not too fond with.

Fortunately, Fitbit really knows their stuff when it comes to fitness. As per usual, the Ionic comes with a suite of fitness-tracking features, and it’s even better than the Blaze. The Ionic features include continuous HR monitoring, guided workouts, GPS, swim tracking, run-detect feature, and more. Sleep tracking is also superior in the Ionic.

Fitbit also excels in providing excellent battery life to their trackers, and the Ionic is no exception. And unlike the Blaze, the Ionic has access to built-in apps and you can download more if you like.

The ability to install apps is perhaps the best feature for nurses. For instance, you can download an app like Waterlogged to keep track of your fluid intake. The NFC technology is also a godsend for grabbing a quick snack from Walgreens or even better if your hospital accepts NFC payments.

It’s not the best looking smartwatch out there but it’s no slouch when it comes to features.

The Best Wearable for Hardworking Nurses

That wraps up our list of the best Fitbit for nurses.

Fitbit is a leading brand in activity tracker and for good reason. We’re hoping that this guide has helped you find the right activity tracker to help you tackle those challenging shifts.

Bulova Watches Review

Bulova Watches Review

We spend over 24 hours researching the Bulova Watches to assess the collections offered by the brand. We can recommend Bulova Watches as an affordable and diverse option for the watch lovers.

Bulova watches are some of the most stunning in terms of variable designs, craftsmanship, and price range. If you’re looking for an affordable watch, you can find many high to mid-tier uni-sex watches that boast different styles and designs. Without further hesitation, let’s get into the Bulova Watches Review.

While the prices aren’t that high, you’re still paying a hefty amount compared to your generic wrist watch you’d find at a department store. However, the brand is known for crafting multiple collections that each have a unique modern style, upgraded systems, and intricate details. They’re similar to the IWC brand watches.

Overall, the brand itself crafts well-constructed watches that have satisfied customers worldwide. As for which we recommend, we’ve discovered The Precisionist is one of their new watches which has changed the playing field.

The History Behind Bulova Watches

Bulova was started by Joseph Bulova back in 1875 when luxury watches just begun to hit the market. As the world progressed, he advanced his designs to fit the current era by using new-coming iconic movements that were powered by high efficiency and precision derived clockwork. Pair this with his love for high quality and handmade craftsmanship, and his watches are a fantastic piece of work.

Taking his company into the modern day, he founded a small shop in New York that ultimately grew the business and extended it to be the legacy it is today. All of their watches produced are timeless pieces that consistently change in design with the time. Because of this, Joseph and his business have paved the way for some inspiring innovations including electronic watches that are equipped with tuning-fork-based technology.

Bulova got the chance to have exclusive deals which collaborated with Lindbergh on the 46 NASA mission, which demonstrates their precision with craftsmanship. Amongst recent changes, the company crafted a Precisionist collection in 2010 and recently produced their Curv collection. The Curv was a multi-record breaking design and featured the first curved chronograph movements. Ultimately, Joseph has grown his company to be a reliable and affordable watch producer.

Precisionist Chronograph in Gunmetal Grey Watch

The Precisionist Chronograph is a stylish matte black watch that features impeccable details. While this versions design is for men, there’s still plenty of options in the Precisionist line that are available for women – here.

The stainless steel casing is 17.9 mm and comes with a Japanese quartz movement display. Pair this with the fold over clasp and double push button, and you’ve got yourself a nice and adjustable multi-time zone watch that has refined style.

Accuracy You Can Count On

The Precisionist collection boasts about their enhanced accuracy and with no failed attempt the Precisionist meets these expectations. Each watch features similar watch movement with the hands being within 1/1000th accuracy of a second at all times.

Its energy source is using a three-prong quartz crystal with a 262k Hz frequency. With these specs, the watch is operating at least eight times than other standard watches, which assures you that all the watches and dials are accurate on the watch.

If you’re looking for an accurate watch due to work, changing time zones, or just cross about your watches going too fast or slow and having to readjust, then the Precisionist is an excellent pick.

Durable Stainless Steel Exterior

Precisionist uses stainless steel which makes the watch durable and long lasting. You won’t have to worry about where you’re taking it, as it can keep up with most daily activities.

Extra Detailed Watch Face

Where it gets a bit confusing is the watch face. You’ll see five different clocks to look at which can be a hassle if you only want to glance down quickly. However, this also is a benefit for those who need extra information.

The information includes a chronograph and calendar function, which displays the hours, minutes, meters, and tachymeter.

What do we think?

For our Bulova watches review, we believe that the Perfectionist Chronograph is one of the best in terms of accuracy and information. However, it does tend to be congested on the watch face which is distracting and makes it harder to use. If your goal is to get as much information as possible off your watch at a glance, then you’ll enjoy Bulova watch face dials.

Classic Collection Stainless Steel Watch

Another fantastic men’s watch is the Classic Collection Stainless steel watch. It features a simplified and refined look with a slim body. If you’re looking for a classic watch that matches with any style of clothing, then you’ll enjoy this watch.

Simplistic Exterior

Overall, the watch boats about a simple design that is free from numbers, dials, and additional features that may overcloud the simplistic design. We quite enjoy this because the watch displays the time and date, which is all the information you need if you’re going throughout your workday.

Slim Design

A slim design also results in a lighter watch that’s manageable to wear and is easy on the wrists. The total length of the clock itself is 37 mm and is encased in stainless steel material. This ensures that the watch is sturdy even though the whole body is thin.

Water Resistant Coating

To ensure that the watch doesn’t break, there’s a water-resistant coating. The top, back, and wristband are all waterproof and prevent any liquids from leaking into the device and ruining it.

Although, it’s only water resistant up to 30m, which enables it to withstand small exposure to water or brief situations. It isn’t good for swimming, diving, or submersion.

Croc Textured Band

Now this section is where there’s a lot of debate. The Croc-textured calfskin band and buckle has a decent appearance. However, there are two main problems which consist of size and quality. The band tends to run on the smaller side, which may not fit all wrist sizes or lengths. On top of that, the quality of the band is mediocre. The best advice we can give is to replace it with another band.

What do we think?

For our Bulova Watches Review, the Classic is a timeless piece that for those with minimalistic senses of style. The majority of features are pretty good, but the durability of the band and lack of precision may get to some.

Although, the price point is very reasonable and the style of the watch face is higher quality than those you’d find in a department store. We’d recommend this only if you’re looking for a light use everyday watch.

Sutton Collection in Two-tone

The Sutton is a beautifully crafted automatic watch that’s complemented by rose and silver tones. If you’re a woman looking for a luxurious piece that doesn’t break the bank, then you’ll enjoy this. It’s classy design is the perfect complement to business attire for fancy events.

Stunning Luxury Design

Every watch has its own style, and the Sutton features rose gold-tone detailing which include five diamonds. Each of these are carved and handset to create a refined and classy look.

As for the watch face, it includes a white mother of pearl dial which also adds to its unique design. If you’re looking for a watch has embellishings with extra details, then you’ll surely enjoy the Sutton.

High Powered Reserve

One of the more unique features is the high power reserve that can last over forty hours. It’s a hassle if your watch stops, especially if you’re traveling. If you’re not in a place where you’ll have easy access to replacements, it’s good to know that there’s a backup set that can tide you over.

Water Resistance

Similar to the rest of the brand, the Sutton includes a waterproof coating. To ensure that the internal components are protected, the device features a double press deployment closure. This prevents any dirt, dust, or liquid from seeping in. On top of that, the water resistance levels is set to 30 meters, which is just a bit under their other models.

Self Wind

One of the drawbacks of the device is that it’s a self-winding watch. However, multiple reviews have stated that the time tends to be inaccurate after a few weeks. One common fix to this is to just auto adjust the watch yourself using the dials.

What do we think?

For the Bulova Watches Review, the Sutton has impeccable detailing such as Roman Numeral numbers, handset diamonds, and small rose-toned stainless steel detailing. The design alone is enough to make us want to recommend it to you.

Besides that, the durable build, affordable pricing, and water resistance makes it suitable for everyday use and ensures that it can’t break. If you’re looking for a watch to start a conversation with, you can’t go wrong sporting the Sutton.

Crystal Collections Swarovski

The Crystal Swarovski is a women’s watch looks like a bracelet but function as a clock. It features a pure stainless steel design which has 123 crystals added around the exterior of the diamond. Each crystal is from Swarovski, making it an amazingly lucky catch for its affordable price.

All Hand Set

There’s nothing more intriguing than knowing each set of crystals are individually set. This gives a bit of style to the watch and makes it a fascinating topic piece. However, it’s not just the handset crystals on the watch. The company went further and created a crystal band. If you enjoy watches that look similar to jewelry, then you’ll enjoy the Crystal.

Weak Glass Surface

An issue we’ve seen before is that the glass tends to get scratches and need to replacing and repairs. While it’s a beautiful watch, it’s not designed to put up to everyday use. Think of it as a fancy bracelet, and it’s not meant to be worn every day, only special nights. Keep that in mind when thinking about the Crystal.

Water Resistance

Water resistance is essential to those who are out and about every day. The Crystal can be submerged 30m but can’t be used for swimming or other water type activities. Yes, it will survive a dunk if you fall into a pool or fall in a puddle. However, anything more and the watch will malfunction.

Durable Quality

Needless to say, durability is one of the must-haves in a watch. The Crystal features a stainless steel exterior with quartz movement analog displays and a stainless steel band. Overall, these elements make it pretty sturdy and durable. Although, the steel band may get a bit uncomfortable throughout the day.

What do we think?

For our Bulova watches review, we believe that the Crystal is only worth it if you’re looking for aesthetics and style. Otherwise, it does lack some durability and probably isn’t the most comfortable to wear throughout your day.

Would We Recommend Bulova Watches?

Our Bulova Watches Review conclusdes that they are an excellent choice for those looking for an affordable wristwatch. Their products are often modern, stylish, and vary from collection to collection. This, in turn, gives you plenty of options to find one that’s your style.

However, not all of them are very durable. As you can see from the bands and casing, they often lack in strength and may be uncomfortable to wear for extended periods.

What do we praise the Bulova brand for? Their designs, their innovative clock faces, and use of high-end stainless steel. If you’re looking for a luxury looking watch at a more affordable price point, then we’d say that these watches will meet your expectations.

U Boat Watch Review

Classico U-47 U Boat watch

Are you looking for boldly designed wristwatches that can withstand climatic conditions, be reliable, and readable at just a glance? If so, the U Boat Watch Review is where you should start.

In this review, we want to get to the bottom of if the brand is worth the investment. U Boat watches don’t come with a cheap price tag, which means you should be receiving a product that lives up to your investment. The Classico U-47 is just one of the ones we think you’d be interested in.

A Brief History Of the U-Boat Brand

Every brand of wristwatch has a stand out signature style that sets them apart from the rest. The inspiration behind U-Boat Watches is found in their roots. Starting in 1942, IIvo Fontana got a request from the Italian navy to design wrist watches for soldiers.

While he did end up drafting the designs, the deal did not go through. It was only years later in 2000 that his grandson Italo Fontana discovered his designs and reinvented them.

Since then, the U Boat brand has expanded its reach to crafting high-end wristwatches that stand out. The U Boat Company focuses on embellishing their watches using unique metals such as stainless steel, titanium, and gold and silver. This provides you with a large selection from multiple collections.

Pair that with the brand’s high attention to detail with their handcrafted quality that uses only the finest of materials. These features contribute to a reliable and stylish Italian wristwatch that lasts through everyday wear and tear.

All of U Boat’s watches are crafted in their headquarters in Lucca, Tuscany, and the attention to detail is astonishing. Each craftsman uses enhanced techniques such as acid bathing, carbon fibers, and swiss movements to create each stunning piece.

Classico U-47

The Classico U-47 features a bold black and gold look that matches strong personalities – men and women alike. Other than that, it features a military-inspired design which includes a large dial, a metal plate fixed strap, and big logo located on the side. If you’re looking for a stunning simple uni-sex watch, then the Classico collection may be more up your alley.

The casing around the watch is 47 mm in diameter using stainless steel. As for the strap, it’s black leather installed with rubber and uses Kodiak water repellent which is water resistant. This makes it ideal for those who spent the majority of their time outdoors.

Minimalistic Display

The Classico is a general watch and only displays the hours, minutes, seconds, and the current date. Besides this, it does lack on quite a few other features that other high-end model watches may include. This includes touch screens, digital displays, and multiple clocks. However, the design itself is simplistic so that you can reliably read the time without numerous distractions.

Sturdy Design

For durability, the stainless steel casing is scratch resistant and comes with a satin finish. The finishing is handcrafted, thus giving it a rustic charm. There’s a distinguished crown located on the left of the casing which enables you to see the engravement of the serial number for verification of an authentic watch.

Lavish Watchface

If you’re looking for standout features, the dial is where all the small details are. There are Arabic numerals located around the watch with multiple markers making it easier to tell the time. The layers also feature black, gold, and small embellishments of visible ruby. The hands of the clock are thin and precise and run to the edge of the casing.

What do we think?

For our U Boat watch review, the U-Boat Classico is a fantastic piece that boldly stands out amongst other simplistic watches. It makes a perfect gift for both men and women, as it comes with a stylish and protective box that includes an extra calf leather strap.

Chimera 46 SS Skeleton Limited Edition

The Chimera 46 SS Skeleton is another simplified bold statement piece designed to last through any climatic situation. The casing is a bit smaller than other versions and clocks in at 46 mm. The lining features black stainless steel that also includes the trademark of the U-Boat brand.

Extra Protective Casing

To ensure that the device is securely locked and encased, the back and bezel of the watch are secured together using a unique exterior tubing which prevents water from getting into the components. This ensures that the clock can be used on a rainy day and withstand most other weather conditions.

Multi-Use Display

As for the display, it does include a bit more information than your standard watch. On the screen, you’ll see the hours, minutes, and seconds displayed. However, the watch also includes a chronograph and 24-hour indicator which can be useful if you’re traveling using military time or want a more accurate detailing of time.

Extra Details

Other specifications include a handcrafted black calf leather strap which adds to the style. Finish it off with a blacked stainless steel rim and buckle, and you’ve got yourself a sophisticated and interesting statement piece that’s reliable and fashionable.

What do we think?

For our U Boat watch review, the Chimera 46 SS Skeleton stands out as the dials look like rotating clockwork. If you’re looking for an amazing watch that can not only be useful but also admired, then you’re on the right track. Many customers are satisfied with the look, especially the blackened stainless steel because it’s much different from other linings.

Doppiotempo 46 Bronze BR

The next on our list that’s definitely worth the mention not only because of its unique aged bronze exterior but also because of its two timezone feature is the Doppio Tempo 46 Bronze BR. This watch is one of the more recent creations to be released by the brand and includes a bi-directional rotating bezel to help enable those to set two separate time zones at a time.

Duo-Clock Display

As for the functions, the wristwatch includes multiple levels of information. Included in this version, you’ll see the house, minutes, and seconds displayed. The watch includes a 24-hour indicator and a bidirectional bezel. We find that multiple timezones work well for people who are traveling or expect to be in different timezones within a short period. Plus, you can keep track of your hometown’s time as well as where you’re traveling.

Protective Casing

Besides these features, the watch includes a backing that’s sealed with seven screws, ensuring that the casing protects the main components of the watch. The outside of the wristwatch is water-resistant of 100 mt or 10 ATM. This ensures that you’ll be able to use it in wet or rainy climates.

What do we think?

For our U Boat watch review, the Doppio Tempo 46 Bronze BR also includes a well-crafted bronze buckle and is tied together with a hand finished calf leather to perfectly match. Pair this with the high-quality sapphire, anti-reflective coating, and multiple dials. This watch tends to impress those who like intricate work, as the many small details draw attention towards the watch face.

Lastly, the numbering is in Arabic numerals, and features bronze brushed framing as well as bronzed hands. Overall, we enjoy that this watch’s design is much different from others you’d see on the market. Although, we do think the price point is pretty steep for what you’re getting. However, U Boat does use pure materials, and each watch is handcrafted by a professional, so you know you’re receiving a uniquely crafted wristwatch.

Capsoil Chrono DLC

The next one on our list comes from their Capsoil line which is the Capsoil Chrono DLC a simple watch with an amplified display. Using a newly crafted method, the Chrono is bathed in an oil bath which surrounds the dial and creates a three-dimensional bubble. This fluid enables the dial to move within the casing and amplifies the hours, minutes, seconds, and a chronograph.

We find that this design tends to draw people in because the crafted details and design aren’t like any other watch on the market. It’s simplistic design, and colors fit most styles which can match with business attire or casual clothing.

Durable Casing

Other unique features include handcrafted calf leather strap and water-resistant lining with a tongue buckle. The crystal is high quality and made with curved sapphire, and the back features screws that lace into a fume mineral glass lining. This protects the watch and makes it water resistant of up to 100 mt or 10 ATM.

Unique Oil Treated Glass

The dial’s details are where it’s a bit unique. There are two superimposed layers which are black and features beige color treated with superluminova. This accentuates the coloring and enables it to stand out amongst the super black backing. The casing comes with a diameter of 45 mm, but the oil treatment that’s used makes the glass look like it’s essentially not there.

What do we think?

For our U Boat watch review, if you’re looking for a stunning lightweight and manageable wristwatch that stands out from the others, then you can’t go wrong with the Capsoil Chrono  DLC.

What Makes U-Boat A Worthy Brand?

While we’d like to believe that U Boat provides the best wristwatches out there, we simply cannot justify some of the prices. Obviously, the design and authenticity of handcrafted materials is the deciding factor, as they all feature sturdy designs which come with protective coatings and water-resistant properties.

However, the worthiness depends on what you value as a consumer. If you’re looking for a stylish high-end watch to compliment your business attire, you may be drawn towards U Boat’s Precious collections or their Chimera line.

So, what’s our verdict? Well, we recommend investing in one of the watches such as the Capsoil or the Classico.

These are both high-end watches that have classic designs that are made with durable materials that have been handcrafted. If we’ve piqued your curiosity, head to the U Boat official website for more information about the brand.

Alpina Watch Review

Alpina Watch

Alpina has been making watches for over a hundred years. With great style along with quality product, they have a lot going for them. If you are looking for a great luxury sports watch, there’s a good chance you’ll find something you like with Alpina.

Their watches—though not greatly ranged in style design—they are sleek, durable and can double as sports and dress watch. One such watch is Alpiner 4, a sports watch that can blend in with a lot of different settings—making it a favorite of ours. Read more about that watch and a few others to gain a better understanding of Alpina through this Alpina Watch Review.

Alpina Watch Review

Alpina Watch Review 2019

King of sports

Alpina is undoubtedly known best for its sports watches. Beginning all the way back in 1938, Alpina started producing its “4” sports watches collection. With leading technology for its time, they’ve only improved, continually bringing sports to the forefront of their luxury watch brand. Their wristwatches have given wearers quality and durable products—not only for men but also for women. For land, air or water, Alpina has shown itself to be versatile and never straying from its classic, sporty roots. The Alpina Alpiner 4 is a perfect example and should be included in any Alpina Watch review.

Alpina Alpiner 4

An Alpina sportswatch, like the Alpiner 4, proves itself by having the “4” sports properties incorporated into it. It must be 1. Antimagnetic, 2. Antishock, 3. Water-resistant, and 4. Stainless. Additionally, a great quality that Alpina sportswatches have is that they are beautiful to look at and many of them can just about pass for a dress watch, like this Alpiner 4.

The blue dial is an attention-getter and is the most eye-catching part of the watch. The markers and hands are all large and easy to read against the blue. The case is 44-mm in diameter and is stainless steel, the dial window material Is antireflective sapphire and the brown band is made of genuine leather. A barely noticeably date window sits by the 3 o’clock marker.

This watch is antimagnetic, antishock, water resistant (up to 330-feet) and it’s stainless—a perfect example of a sports watch. This piece is also extremely attractive, showing how adaptable Alpina’s watches can be. If someone were wanting something showing its sturdiness sporty qualities, there are great options for those styles as which is well.

A good example would be the Alpina Seastrong Diver watch, which shares a lot of features with the Alpiner 4 but is less flashy. It’s darker with a black rubber band and a stainless-steel case that provides a bit of color with its sharp red. The water resistance is much deeper at 984-feet. Overall, Alpina has a lot of great sports watch options that suit many styles.

Smart ‘n stylish

The Alpina brand—known for sports and quality—also provide style and technology. With modern technology improving greatly, it’s not usually desirable to purchase anything expensive that isn’t also innovative. The same goes for watches. Why spend considerable money and not get anything newfangled? That’s the feeling many people have who lean towards the smartwatch options. While some love the classic analog timepieces that provide old fashioned style only, smartwatches are growing in popularity. Alpina has certainly joined the smartwatch party and one such piece is the Alpina Men’s Horological Smartwatch.

Seastrong Horological Smartwatch

The Seastrong Horological Smartwatch looks like the ultimate sports watch but there’s a lot more to it than just being a detailed and accurate timepiece.

The two main colors: orange and black, blend well—looking stylish and vibrant. Additionally, there are slight white and silver accents, making the markers and hands easier to see and read. It is a larger watch with a stainless-steel case that has a diameter of 45mm. It is important to be aware of the size and how it will feel on your wrist before purchasing, to make sure it’ll be comfortable. The watch has quartz movement with a synthetic sapphire dial window to protect it. The black band is made of rubber and has a buckle for a clasp.

While the vibrant colors of the watch are a great draw, the true heart of this watch is the smart technology. This watch can be a great companion to your everyday life. It can keep you up to date with what is happening in the world around you as well as internally with your health. If you download its app—available for Android and iOS, it’ll sync and provide fun functions that include activity and sleep tracking. It also provides notifications for when you receive a text or call. The battery is supposed to last for about four years as well.

Apple and many other smartwatches may have a more “smartphone-like” screen. The horological smartwatches use a secondary dial rather than a screen, to maintain the classic look. That could be less appealing to those wanting a miniature smartphone on their wrist. However, the Seastrong Smartwatch is also a stellar and high-class sports watch—providing an aesthetic and quality an Apple smartwatch simply wouldn’t be able to provide.

Not just an ornament

Since wristwatches grew in popularity through the early 20th century, they’ve been seen on the wrists of women more and more. However, watches are still not as marketed to women as they are to men. Additionally, it is difficult to find high-quality wristwatches that are durable and sporty and…for women. Usually, women’s timepieces are focused on being a prime accessory, to compliment an outfit, or to even blend in as jewelry. But women need high-quality watches to take on adventures just the same as any man.

Alpina watches usually look ready for anything. If you are wanting a luxury watch that doesn’t quite show it’s durability as visibly as Alpina Watches do, you may want to look elsewhere for your new timepiece. Rado could be a better fit. Alpina Watches are incredible and strong and they show it, especially through their women’s watches. An Alpina Watch review must include Alpina’s women’s watches because they ready for adventure—just like the Alpina Women’s Extreme Diver.

Women’s Extreme Diver

Alpina Women’s Extreme Diver watch is a prime example of a sporty watch for women. Known for their sports watches, no Alpina watch review would be complete without referencing how the brand extends its trademark to both men and women. And it extends it well. This watch is strong, durable and perfect for the land and sea. The stainless-steel case is brushed and polished. The movement is Swiss quartz and the black dial is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The hands and the hour markers are of a luminescent silver-tone. There is also a date window at the 3 o’clock marker. With a sturdy black rubber strap, this watch looks and feels ready for anything thrown at it.

As promised by the title, this watch is made for diving. It is water resistant up to 984-feet.

This is the watch to beat if you are looking for a beautiful women’s watch that has quality and an ability to handle the water.

History of Alpina

Alpina has a long and rich history as a producer of quality watches. Alpina began with Gottlieb Hauser of Switzerland, who wanted  to make the perfect watches to aid “sportsmen, engineers, technicians, and adventurers.” He began to make his dream work with the concept of the “Alpina 4,” developed in 1938.

A true sports watch must be 1. Antimagnetic, 2. Antishock, 3. Water-resistant, and 4. Stainless steel. With that standard in place, the Alpina sports watches became the brand to beat. Those working on land, at sea, and in the air began choosing Alpina as a result. The company saw success until the Quartz Crisis when quartz became massively popular and Alpina would not stop focusing on its mechanical watches. Alpina suffered greatly during this time.

In 2002, Alpina made its comeback and began to grow. In 2014, Alpina produced the “4” in the Alpiner collection in reference to the four sports properties. They also invented the Horological Smartwatch in 2015. Alpiner seems to continually keep its head above water with new pieces and even inventions focused on their goal of quality sports watches. We’ll see if they continue to grow in the future but as of now, they seem to be producing great things.

Conclusion

Alpina watches are relevant because of their focus on sports. It’s encouraging to see them maintaining standards they’d set for themselves almost a century ago. After reviewing these Alpina watches, it appears they are of a good, luxurious quality that will serve the most active wearer. Additionally, some of the watches are adaptable so that they can be worn on adventures or in the office. Alpina is keeping up technologically while staying true to their aesthetic. Their women’s watches are also perfect for any great adventure, as they should be. Stylistically, these watches may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But, for someone searching for a quality sports watch, Alpina is the place to look.

Best Women’s Watches Under $2,000

Best woman's watches for under $2000

Women’s watches are elegant, they are useful, and they can say so much about the wearer’s style. Just because a woman’s watch can be timeless and classy, though, doesn’t mean she would have to take out a mortgage on her home to buy one. There are many watches for women at the top of today’s fashion that are still reasonably priced and we’ve got some great options to look at below.

Our favorite out of this list encompasses complete elegance: The Raymond Weil Women’s “Noemia” Stainless Steel Watch.

Best Women’s Watches Under $2000

Best Affordable Women’s Watches Under $2,000

1. Raymond Weil Women’s “Noemia” Stainless Steel Watch

Raymond Weil’s Noemia Stainless Steel Watch provides a very strong and purposeful aesthetic with hints of beautifully delicate features. It is perfect for anyone who wants to exude style and power.

The round watch has a 26mm stainless steel case and link bracelet. The white mother-of-pearl dial has silver-toned Roman numeral markers that accompany eight placed diamond hour markers. It is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire dial window.

Additionally, it is water resistant up to 165-feet so short periods of swimming shouldn’t be an issue.

Potential Negatives

There do not seem to be many negatives that accompany this watch. It is a bit on the higher side so just make sure that it is the style you are looking for so that you get the most out of your purchase.

2.  Rado Esenza Touch Jubile

Rado is the definition of sleek and never more so than with its Rado Esenza Touch Jubile. This brand is famous for its innovative designs—especially with its use of ceramic. The case, band, and the bezel are ceramic, which is extremely durable and keeps the watch in incredible shape for a long time to come. Additionally, the window material is scratch-proof anti-reflective sapphire. The movement is Swiss quartz. It is an exquisite and high-quality watch but a couple of special features make the watch legendary.

One of the features is its ceramic touch technology, with sensors in the case that sense the touch of the wearer and allows the watch to be set. The second is the 60 diamonds that surround the oval dial. This watch is made to impress. The ceramic durability and the diamond, sleek design makes this a very popular watch.

Potential Negatives

This watch is not one to be missed. While that’s a good thing, it’s not conspicuous and you can’t wear it in every setting—especially casual ones. With it being on the pricey side, you must question whether you’ll wear this watch consistently enough to make it worth the price tag.

3.  Gucci Floral G-Frame Mother of Pearl Dial Ladies Leather Watch

Gucci needs no introduction when discussing elegant accessories and this G-Frame Mother of Pearl Dial Watch is one reason why. Its square case is 39mm in diameter and is stainless steel. The most distinct and stunning feature of this watch is its red and green-striped mother of pearl dial. The hands are silver-toned and the four, distinct markers are as well. Completed by a leather strap, this is a beautiful watch that can be worn in a myriad of settings. Made special by small touches, like the colorful dial and the silver-toned markers, this is a unique watch that will draw attention, yet fit into any situation.

This analog watch has quartz movement, is Swiss made and is water resistant up to 165-feet. Being high-quality, it is a great investment for those who want a unique but beautiful watch.

Potential Negatives

One of the only negatives is that it is on the expensive side.

4.  Hamilton Stainless Steel

This Hamilton Women’s Stainless Steel watch is the definition of sophistication. This watch is the perfect accessory to dress up an outfit for a cocktail party while simple enough to go with almost anything. It has a stainless steel tonneau case with a snakeskin chain bracelet. The white dial is protected by a sapphire crystal window that has an anti-reflective coating. The most distinctive part of the watch is its clear blue hands, which add a pop of color.

With a very small case and dial, this watch can give the appearance of a bracelet until the blue hands catch the eye. Favorite features of this watch include the easy-to-read numbers—despite the fact that the dial is so small and the fact that this watch is also a lot more durable and long-lasting than it appears.

Potential Negatives

With limited negatives, it is important to remember that this watch is a bit smaller than some may prefer. With current trends pointing to larger cases, this watch may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

5. Movado Women’s Heritage Rose Gold Watch

Movados’s gorgeous Women’s Heritage Rose Gold Watch is not only elegant and durable, but it’s also a piece of art in itself with its unique subdial features. The case is rose gold ion-plated stainless steel and has a tasteful white leather strap, However,  the focus of this watch is its dial. The dial is white mother-of-pearl with subdials that show the day, date and moon-phase. Additionally, the rose gold-tone hands and markers are easily visible and luminescent.

The dial window material is sapphire crystal and the display is analog with Swiss quartz movement. Another great feature is that the watch is water resistant to 30 meters.

Overall, this watch is perfect for anyone who wants something stylish but also very unique. With its rose gold tones and artistic features, Movado’s Heritage watch will draw attention and hint at a much larger price tag.

Potential Negatives

The face is a bit smaller than the images tend to make it appear so make sure you’re happy with the stated size of the watch before purchasing.

FAQs for Affordable Women’s Watches

What is the difference between a woman’s wristwatch and a man’s?

Sometimes it’s difficult to tell whether a watch is a woman’s watch or a man’s. The most distinguishing factor is that men’s watches tend to be larger and heavier. With men having larger wrist sizes, the strap is going to be heavier and wider. The dial circumference will also be larger. It is possible for women to wear men’s watches but a woman’s watch is made to fit more comfortably.

Women’s watches generally have more subtle dials, too. Men’s watches are made to draw the eye to the watch while a woman’s watch is often meant to blend into the style of its wearer.

Are watches more accessory or utilitarian?

Watches are whatever the wearer needs them to be…or at least that’s how it’s supposed to be. Many people work in careers where knowing the accurate time is vital. Others love the aesthetic a beautiful watch provides and its use as an accessory is the most important part of its existence. Whatever role you want a watch to serve, you can find the right one for you and often it can wear multiple hats. For example, a gorgeous piece that seems like an added part of a woman’s evening wear can often be durable and precise enough to accompany her the next day as she climbs a mountain.

 Women’s Watch Buying Guide

Know what you want to use your watch for

There are a lot of options for what you may need your watch for. Is it an accessory for a party or for your work outfit? Do you need it in order to do your job effectively? Will it be an everyday piece or an occasionally worn piece? Know what place you want a watch to have in your life and then decide if you can find one that falls in your budget.

Understand that a watch can be an investment

A watch can be quite an investment, depending on how much money you think your wrist’s future friend is worth. While the prices on this list are budgeted to under two thousand, that is still quite a chunk of money. However, some accessories–like watches–grow in value over the years. But, it’s important to do your research before taking any risks and figure out whether the money you are investing will be worth it to you now and/or down the line. Investments must be thought out and considered carefully.

Conclusion

Women’s watches, they’ve been around longer than most realize—Marie Antoinette commissioned one, as a matter of fact. As you can see, there are a lot of affordable and fashionable options for women’s watches that will not clean out your bank account. A woman’s watch can be a lovely accessory as well as a functional addition to your life.
